Lola86:
The pregnancy is going really well. Our little one is doing great and all my values are consistently okay. Hopefully it stays this way, just a little while left to go.
I’ve never used ovulation tests. I found them a bit expensive too.
I hope you both have lots of luck in the coming period
.
Lana, I wish you lots of success too. I’m rooting for you!

Hi Lana,
that’s a little one, but it’s all we can do, right? Fingers crossed.
I really shouldn’t complain.
My pregnancy is going really well at the moment.
I do notice it’s getting a bit heavier: early back pain, having to do little maneuvers to get out of bed and the chair
, swelling in my feet and lower legs, ...
The little one is moving around a lot and it’s just sooo lovely!!
Hopefully for you soon too!

@Lana, yes girls, you see it when we, for example, clean the outside of the house, then she wants that to happen to her too and throws in that she raised him blah blah blah, you don't feel great about that sometimes.. In the beginning of the relationship it was even so bad that her own partner came to pick up wine for me...
Hopefully you'll be pregnant soon too and can chat nicely about your first pregnancy, it's very exciting though...

@Patricia,
How are you doing? And how are things with BMS? Do you already have a feeling like "yeah, it could be like that," or am I asking too early??

@ju Hi, nice that you're asking! I'm still in suspense. I should actually get my period next Thursday, so we'll have to wait and see if it happens or not. I've been feeling a bit conflicted. Had sore breasts all of a sudden the last few days, really tired, crying for no reason. My boyfriend said, "I think you're already pregnant," but a friend who just gave birth told me, "You instinctively feel that when you're pregnant." I don't really feel that, and I'm not really showing or anything, and maybe because I'm so focused on it, I'm imagining it all. They always say that if you're too focused on it, it won't work out. And I naturally want to avoid disappointment, so I'm not going to get too excited, although I secretly hope it's a hit right away, but we'll see soon enough. So stay tuned....

How nice to see some similar situations!
I stopped using the NuvaRing on July 31st and we've been trying to conceive our first baby ever since. I find it so incredibly exciting, but I'm trying to keep my head cool (doesn't always work) because I've heard it takes a little while for your cycle to get going. I've never felt ovulation before either. But I do notice changes in my discharge. The first days after my period there was nothing, then slippery, clear discharge, then that thick white discharge you mentioned, Lola, and right now there's not much noticeable. I'm also curious what this all means...
Btw, what does BMS stand for?? hihi -

Hi L.
It's also my first time being pregnant, so I have no idea if you can feel it a week in advance...

Hi everyone!
Here’s an update from me
I’m really nervous right now. I should normally be getting my period today (usually in the evening/night), but it hasn’t happened yet. A few days ago, I had some small symptoms that made me think it might be a hit; one day I suddenly had sore nipples, felt a bit down, and according to my boyfriend, I also became quite tearful for no reason
. My sister also suddenly said that my breasts seemed bigger. So I thought YESSS!!! But I’ve also read a lot online that if you stop the pill for the first time, your period might take time to get back into rhythm, so you could be late. Also, the VSM Mamma pills I’m taking can sometimes do weird things to your body, which might cause that feeling. Is that true? I really hate this uncertainty and the waiting, wondering if it’s a hit or miss. I want it so badly that I can’t think of anything else. Yes, I know, silly, and it probably works against me, but hey, when they tell you not to think of a pink elephant, you think about it anyway
haha. I could take a pregnancy test now, but my boyfriend would prefer I wait. If I still haven’t gotten my period by Monday, we’ll go get one together and test. The days feel so slow... and it’s also so weird of me, but if I even get the slightest feeling that I’m getting my period, I go to the toilet to check, silly right! I’m such a nervous wreck, haha. I’m trying to relax more and think about other things, but it’s hard. I’m impatient, I know

Also here, still in suspense, one more week until my due date... Now for the second attempt. Last time I tested too early, so now I'll wait it out... Hope I can hold out... -

@Patricia,
Nice that you keep us updated. I can only say I'm rooting for you and I hope that once you know, you'll share the good news with us too.
Wishing you lots of rest and that you hold out until you can test it together—it's much more fun to do it with your partner... It's exciting!

Hi everyone,
It's so nice to read all of this. I'm new to the site too; this is now my second month of trying with my husband.
Last month I was so obsessed with it that it didn't work out. After 4 days past my due date, I finally got my period. That's really disappointing, of course, but we're moving on cheerfully.
Tomorrow is my expected period date... still quite nerve-wracking, but I don't want to test too early. I've been on the Diane pill since I was 14 and always had a very regular cycle. I stopped taking it in June, and that month I had a withdrawal bleed. But I often read online that it can take longer for some people.
No one else knows we're trying, which is why I love this site so much. You can ask questions and share things without family members asking about it. I don't want to have to inform the whole family every time I get a negative test.
Secretly, I'm afraid of not being able to have children. My aunt (on my dad's side) is infertile, which makes you think more about it. My grandma also told me she had to wait a long time for a pregnancy, but just as she was going to start hormone injections, she turned out to be pregnant. Maybe it doesn't make sense, but it's been gnawing at me. What if...? I'm trying to push it away. Luckily, there are others who are just as impatient... I want it now, so I should be pregnant immediately, which obviously doesn't make sense.
Well, that's my story. I'm going to follow you all! Love, Patty -

Hi Patty,
Nice to have another first-timer in the early stages! Is it a relief to be able to talk about it openly? You'll probably have to keep us in the loop with every negative test because we're pretty nosy too, haha. But hopefully, you'll get a positive one super quickly! For now, just assume the best, girl! Even though I'm also very impatient, it's still such an exciting time where I'm already enjoying the anticipation, just like on a vacation!
Keep us posted in the coming days whether you get your period or not, and then about the test etc.? -

@ Patty Fertility issues have never really been a thing in my family. I actually come from a big family (8 kids), and all my aunts and uncles have kids too (the largest family has 14 kids). It’s not because of religion or anything, everyone just loves kids. I’m hoping to have 2 myself, but I’m also afraid of being infertile. I think a lot of women have this fear...
@ Lola It’s nice that you’re going for the first one too.. It’s tricky to figure out when my period is due because I haven’t had one for 2.5 years due to my IUD. I got my period for the first time on Monday (for a few days), so that’s 20-08. I just don’t know when the next one will be. I’ll wait and see.
By the way, do you take vitamins? If so, which ones?
