Experiences with the birthing stool

Hi, I have a question. With my previous birth, I was a bit caught off guard. I went into labor at 31 weeks with my first, which unfortunately didn't end well despite all the precautions taken by the hospital. I felt like I was bedridden and couldn't find a comfortable position until an emergency C-section was finally performed. This time, luckily, no abnormalities were found on the scans, and I'm roughly at my due date, so hopefully, everything will go well this time. It's still extra nerve-wracking, of course. I have to give birth in the hospital; I have no choice there, but I do hope to have more choice in how I give birth. Since lying on my back doesn't feel good, I've been looking into the birthing stool. I'd really like to know what experiences others have had with it.

We haven't had any experiences yet with moms who really want to give birth on a birthing stool, but it's very much possible that you'll consider this. What we do hear is that it can go very fast for us as moms giving birth when we use a birthing stool, and that you sometimes need to push out a bit extra.
