I’d talk to your GP because it can’t go on like this...
    This really isn’t okay...
I really get the feeling that you’re doing everything you can, but the people around you—your husband/partner, mother-in-law, father-in-law—aren’t stepping up. I’d really take action for your son, because otherwise there’s a chance your son could end up with brain damage...
I hope you’ll make a wise decision after tomorrow.
    Strength to you.

Yeah, that's right. I really want things to work out, so I try everything I can.
But from his side, nothing really ever happens.
He says he finds it really hard to go through with it, so he often does nothing.
Only when I say I'm leaving does he finally take action. But it's always for a short time (just that day).

I hope something comes out of it tomorrow and that it can be resolved.
I barely sleep and get a headache every day.

I really thought your husband would come out of this unscathed! I had given up and really didn't want to live with this man anymore!
I wouldn't wish such a son on any man! And I get so angry about this too! But of course, you have to figure it all out yourself

But it's so sad for your son. And I hope the shaking doesn't end up being the cause of your son's death!

    How old/young are you?
You know, many women, including myself, always thought we could improve the world/humanity, but some people just can't be helped, girl. So don't be naive and choose the safety of your son. That's your DUTY as a mother!!

The only one you need to help right now is your son!

Oh, what a charming little boy, he’s going to get traumatized more and more. No wonder he’s going to cry even more, pure abuse should also stop before something really bad happens. This is terrible!

    Nannie, I'm 22.
My mom keeps telling me I should give him another chance to change.
That makes me doubt myself all over again.
She says I should talk to a social worker or someone, that they might have a solution.

Tomorrow morning he has an appointment. I'll let you all know what he said...

22 and already having so many problems with your husband? And are you listening to your mom this time?

If my husband treated my child like that, MY mom would say I need to LEAVE that man!! It's scandalous that you don't have that insight yourself.

Sorry, but I think this is just attention-seeking when you're asking for help. Everyone says you shouldn't give that man any more chances, yet you keep doing it. And that man never changes!

Sorry, but I'm leaving this thread. I absolutely can't handle this.

    Good luck, dear

You're right, Cutiex. Miss tomorrow will bring clear insight.
  9. Cutiex #29

I wouldn't assume that, considering he'd already change it a 'few' times.

but... how do you know so sure that he won't change?

What it says in the texts

In ten years, you'll look back on this situation and think to yourself: "How naive I was back then."
If you stay with him and this happens again, you'll be just as responsible as your partner.

I wish you lots of wisdom!

    You've really got me thinking.
I'll wait for tomorrow's conversation and then make my decision.

Thanks everyone in advance, and have a lovely evening!
  14. Cutiex #34

Yeah, then you were also really thinking about getting married and having another baby... But I'm quite okay with this.

Good luck, dear! I won't interfere anymore!

There was a story in the newspaper today about a Belgian father who is now in jail because he hit his baby boy so hard that the baby suffered a brain injury. The reason? The baby wasn’t quiet while the dad was playing a computer game. The mother was asleep in the other room. Think about your child and please don’t become the next story in the newspaper.

Unbelievable how far does it have to go before you finally choose your son? You're still young so maybe you can't see everything yet, but your motherly instinct should be screaming if you see what your husband is doing to your child If I saw or noticed that kind of thing from my husband, I'd be furious. It's just pure abuse, and you're watching it and doing nothing except wondering what you should do??? I just can't imagine that
  17. Tink #37

    Has anything changed here?
  18. Cutiex #38

    I don't think so, Tink.

After not saying anything for a long time, an update from my side.
As mentioned, I talked to my partner. He ordered a booklet for little tantrum throwers. He started reading it. The conversation with the social worker didn't yield anything, so he went there once more and then he didn't see the point anymore. He's been really busy with that booklet; it explains how to deal with anger outbursts, etc. Right now, we've been staying at my parents' house for a month. This is because our house was sold, and the home we bought won't be available until December 1st. My little boy has been very sick lately, and unfortunately, he now also has an ear infection, which is so sad. Because of this, he cries more... My partner is handling it much better than before. After a sleepless night of my little boy crying because of all the pain in his ears, it became too much for him again, but then he immediately picked up the booklet again...

I’ve already advised you quite a bit before, so I’ll keep my mouth shut about it now. I do find it very sad what I’m reading again..
Put propolis or St. John’s wort on the ears. (Look up yourself how to apply this) Children with heavy emotions and suppression often have ear problems!!
