What do you all think about this, and would it be a way for you to raise your child? I was looking at the Natural Parenting website and there are some very useful articles there that I definitely find applicable to our way of parenting. Still, I think (just like with any other 'parenting method' that you should do what feels right for you (or you both) and not just blindly adopt everything.
What do you all think of 'natural parenting'?

I really think there are some good things in this way of parenting.
Just like you say, you take out the parts that seem good and doable for you.
I think many parents in Belgium and the Netherlands already do quite a few things from this natural parenting approach.

    1) Breastfeeding for so long is definitely not for me. 6 to 12 months seems really sufficient to me. I personally wouldn't want to go longer.
I have no problem with people who choose to breastfeed longer.
My mother also breastfed, for example, until my brother was about three years old.

    2) Carrying the baby a lot with you. I really like this. Just like in some tribes that are close to nature. I'm already looking for a baby carrier to carry the baby close to me regularly.
Not that I will carry the baby with me all the time though. Just see how this goes and how the baby feels about it.

    3) Immediate skin-to-skin contact with the baby after birth is very important to me. Fortunately, they are also in favor of this in the 'baby-friendly' hospital where I will give birth.

    4) Soothing your child when it cries doesn't seem like a bad thing to me - on the contrary! I am totally not in favor of letting a child soothe itself (of course there is a difference between crying and having a little tantrum)

    5) After birth, the baby will sleep in our room in its own crib. I guess for several months, but we'll see when we find a good time to move the baby to its own room.
I'm a bit scared of such co-sleeping or a mattress you put in bed next to the parents. My husband and I move a lot in our sleep, I would be scared of accidentally lying on the child or something - that wouldn't be good for my night's sleep, I think.
