The birth
Scheduled C-section
Mommyof2
Hi everyone..
I have a quick question.
I'm now 35 weeks pregnant and we already know it's going to be a planned C-section.
This is my second pregnancy, by the way. My son was also born via C-section 3.5 years ago due to ruptured membranes for 72 hours and no contractions. After induction, labor stalled at 7 cm. The OB-GYN said my pelvis is too small, and my son weighed 4170g at birth, so yeah. Now it's another big baby, and since I'm only 1.58m tall, the OB-GYN wants to go for a C-section.
But my question.. what actually happens with your membranes?.. I know from my own experience 3.5 years ago that they had ruptured on their own, but now?
Are they broken before the surgery, or do they wait for them to rupture during the operation?..
I'd love to hear your experiences..
Thanks
