Second baby, at home or in the hospital? Medical indication?

Hi everyone,
I'm 11 weeks along with my second little one. Absolutely thrilled and feeling great! With my son Mees, now 2, I was sure from the start that I wanted to give birth at home. That went well, but I got stuck at 9 cm and had to be rushed to the hospital for a C-section. It turned out he was in the wrong position and couldn't turn. Looking back, I was fine with it all—he was here and we were happy. But now... I've already been given a medical indication, and now it turns out I have to give birth in the hospital. I really don't see how I can do "my thing" there. All that clinical stuff... I'd rather stay at home, but well... Getting into the car with screaming contractions and an urge to push wasn't exactly a party either. Which of you ladies can help me get more insight into the possibilities? Did you stay at home? Or go to the hospital late? Or maybe go to a maternity hotel? I'd love to hear your stories and advice.. I still have some time ????..

I also have a medical indication due to chronic high blood pressure. So my labor will be induced between 37 and 38 weeks. I already have a little daughter who's almost 2.

I have to say I found the hospital experience quite pleasant. I wasn't constantly disturbed by staff coming in and out. After they placed a balloon catheter, I had to wait 24 hours, and then they checked, and my water broke right away. The midwife was really lovely. So the medical procedures during labor weren't too bad, luckily.

After a C-section, your uterus has a weaker spot. I'm not sure if I'd dare to do that at home...

I believe you're not even allowed to give birth at home or in a maternity hotel, for the baby's health and definitely for your own... I wouldn't take that risk for sure!!!!
I'd discuss with your midwife when you 'need' to go to the hospital. I mean, from how many cm dilation.

If there are no complications during this birth, they really won't have several people standing around your bed the whole time. You can also make it as easy as possible for yourself in the hospital.

definitely, if everything goes well, a midwife will check in from time to time to see how it's going, and during my own labor, there was just one midwife and one nurse, so it wasn't too bad.

and well, I'd say, what matters most is the health of your baby anyway
