I immediately think of a sweet, cute girl. Nice name!

Too British for the Netherlands. In Dutch, I immediately think of "oen" and "oenig," since the pronunciation of Oona sounds like "Oena."

So sweet and a bit stubborn, but I think Oona sounds cute.
  4. Ingrid started this #5

We would pronounce it with a long O.
  5. Emily Guest #6

Nice with the long oo! Tough but also sweet name!

    Not my taste.

Oona is a lovely name!!! Scandinavian

    Actually, it’s Irish, apparently:

And there’s also a unisex name with the meaning: Lamb

This website also says it's Irish, in this case not a unisex name but a girl's name:

And this website says Irish or Gaelic (=Celtic, so Irish or Scottish) or from Latin:

Sorry, I said it was British

I find Oona sounds a lot like Oma when you pronounce it with that long "oo" haha
  12. Anonymous Guest #13

Nice! It sounds quite independent (in a positive way)!
  13. Liesseling #14

    Come on, is this serious?

In Belgium, you hear this name more often. It's one of those names that's starting to become popular. I know at least 3.

    Nice name!!

    Indeed, sounds like grandma.

Haha... After Googling onareren, I'm also sure that I wouldn't choose it.
