Thank you, crumbs, for your opinion on the names. Yeah, that "tuttig" (cute/precious) thing might be true.
My family always says I have a very "tuttig" taste when it comes to names.

Thanks, I hope I'll finally make the decision soon.
    Greetings, Madelene

Ladies, if we were to go with Luna instead of Jasmijn, what do you think of Luna Fleur? So Luna as the first name and Fleur as the second name?
    Best, Madelene
  3. hij Guest #43

No, Luna Jasmijn sounds super! I don't like Luna Fleur at all
  4. madelene started this #44

Thanks for your opinion, it's clear. So it sounds better together, according to you, Luna Jasmijn.
  5. Emily Guest #45

Luna Fleur: nothing wrong with it, sounds cheerful.
Luna Jasmijn: I find that one prettier. It's longer (which I like in the full name).
Do you guys love nature names?

Just stick with Luna Jasmijn for now. Don't hesitate or change it, because that way you'll keep going in circles. Just choose what you and your husband like. It really doesn't matter what all those people think; it's truly your baby.

Yeah, it does look a bit like that, doesn't it Emily
I think the name Fleur is also really beautiful
Besides the name Jasmijn. And I suddenly thought maybe we could put Fleur next to Luna
    So as a second name.
My husband thinks Fleur is terrible, really not his thing at all.
But he let me have my way so we could use it as a second name.
But now I just wanted to know out of pure interest how it came across with others?
Luna Fleur. Instead of Luna Jasmijn.
    That's why baby.

    Do whatever you want.
But Luna is definitely beautiful, why that second name?
Or is that a first name and Luna the nickname?

Luna is just the name and Fleur was meant as a second name, more for the idea. My two little girls both have three names, but they’re actually only called by their first name. But it does look nice on the birth card with the two names That’s how it’s meant, Irma.
  10. Irma 1987 #50

Okay, well there's a difference between a nickname and a first name, that's why I asked.
  11. bel Guest #51

Your husband doesn't like Fleur, so I wouldn't go with that. I also think you should stick with Luna Jasmin. You're both happy with that, right?
    Just go for it!
  12. Linda #52

    Luna Jasmijn!
  13. kaja Guest #53

I agree with your husband, I don't think Fleur is a nice name either. I also think you two should come to an agreement. Why do you attach so much value to the opinion of strangers when it's YOUR baby? It's something between you and your husband! Who cares what others think of the name. A name is very personal! There will always be people who love it or think nothing of it. That's just an opinion. Ultimately, it's about your child, so your opinion matters.

    Kaja, don't be afraid, okay?
I'll definitely follow my own heart
and go with my own taste when it comes to the name.
But I only asked out of pure interest
to see how others feel about the name combination.
Not that I'd set aside my own taste and ideas because of that—definitely not.
Just wanted to get a sense of how it comes across to others.
    Best, Madelene.
  15. masha Guest #55

Thanks for the inspiration here, I think Luna Jasmijn is also really beautiful for our daughter! 6 more weeks. Thanks!
  16. madelene started this #56

Do you really mean that, Masha?
Well, I'm glad I could help out like that
  17. hij Guest #57

Hahaha yeah right Masha! That's not really cool. Madele has been working on arrows for this name she had in mind for days. You didn't come up with the name, so come up with something yourself! On the other hand, Madelene, that's what you get when you publicly ask for names..
  18. Liesseling #58

Well, that's not the case since they're neighbors and suddenly there are two Luna Jasmijn in the same class.

I think if you're a man and a woman and both find another name beautiful, you should either combine them or just look for a different name.
  19. Nannie ❤ #59

Jasmijn is also on my list. I think it's a beautiful, strong name. But we'll keep looking until we both feel 100% behind a name.
  20. hij Guest #60

    Well said, Liesseling!
