Fear of a fast delivery, choosing a home birth?

    That's a great idea, isn't it! I thought I had to make the final decision by 16 weeks when registering for maternity care. But that was completely off base! That was such a relief!

    That's definitely a big relief. You never know how you'll feel during such a birth.

    I didn't make a birth plan down to the last detail for my first either. Just the main points on paper and then I let things wash over me... you can't really do more anyway, your baby has to come out anyway.

    And we can do that! That's what women are for! Not panicking and calmly handling the pain. Best advice I've ever received. My friend gets panicked, and then labor takes longer and is more painful.

    And keep in mind that thousands of women have gone before you. So I can do it too!

    By the way, is this your first?

    The first one, yes!
    And I try to keep that in mind too. Luckily, I'm not naturally very panicky, so I just imagine it's going to hurt more than I can even think of, and hopefully, it won't be too bad..!
