First round of trying to conceive, ovulation?

Hi!

Just a quick question
We're trying for our first round (last pill on August 19, withdrawal bleed from August 23 to 25).
I was supposed to restart the pill on August 27.
So I've already missed 6 pills (tonight will be the 7th).
On Monday and Tuesday I had quite a bit of period-like cramps lower down in my belly, and on Monday I also had a sharp stab in my right groin.
On Tuesday, for about half an hour, I had regular contractions in my belly.
I thought this seemed quite early though..
That would mean I'd already ovulate on day 8 or 9 (though I should mention my withdrawal bleed usually came a day earlier than last time, so it would then be day 9 or 10).
Also, since yesterday my cervical mucus has decreased a lot (on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday when wiping I had whitish mucus, which is now gone).
So my question is whether this was ovulation.
I've been on the pill for 2.5 years and don't really remember the feeling anymore, and I've never tracked my cycles closely, hence the question.
By the way, my mother also has irregular periods every 3 and 5 weeks; I don't remember if I have that too..

Thanks in advance!

With my son, I was on the pill. I stopped in May and let my period come once (in June). I then basically calculated my cycle online, using a standard 28-day cycle (even though I didn't have a regular cycle before). And I got a positive test at the end of July.

With my daughter, I had an IUD. It came out last November, I let my period come in December, looked up my most fertile days online again, and got a positive test in January.

If I were you, I'd just wait for your first 'natural' period and go from there. It definitely helped me out! That way you can be more targeted with your efforts The first bleed after stopping the pill is always a bit uncertain, so I paid more attention to the one after that.

    Hi hi!

I totally get that it's easier that way, but I'd really just like to know if it's possible already.
By the way, I had white discharge today, so maybe my ovulation is only happening now. I don't remember how it felt when I was on the pill.

Hmm, if your period started on August 23rd, I think your most fertile period is just starting now.

I just entered your dates here and it says your ovulation is on 06/09. (Assuming a normal cycle of 28 days)

Maybe this is more helpful for you

    Hi,

I did use that site too.
I already marked dates in my calendar last month for when I'd normally ovulate.
While I was on the pill, my cycles were 27/28 days.
In this case, it's 27 by chance (if I had kept taking my pill, I would have gotten my period again on September 19th; I've had this happen before. It always falls on a Saturday, sometimes Sunday, but the next time it's back on a Saturday).
According to my calculation from last month, I should have ovulated on September 5th, but September 6th is also possible.
    Hope I feel it!
I thought I'd already ovulated because of that prick in my groin, but I think it's just starting now..
    Really curious!
Definitely doing a test in 2 weeks!
