Hey Floortje,

Someone from Moeders voor Moeders is coming by and will do an extra test. They measure the hCG hormone, and if it's not positive, I don't think you'll be able to participate. My experience is that this test is very sensitive. I'd say just call and have someone come by.

And congratulations, of course!

Hey, we found out over the weekend that we're pregnant with baby #2, and we'd also like to participate this time, if everything goes well. The midwife's assistant asked if you'd like to join, and then the Stichting Moeders voor Moeders foundation will reach out to you and come by in person.

Nice, Irma, you've waited long enough. How are you feeling? And when do you have an appointment with the midwife?
  3. irma Guest #4

Yeah, it's been almost a year, but still via natural birth.

My secret is really letting go of the desire.

Well, I'm quite tired sometimes, bloated, can't complain. I have my first ultrasound on August 5th and they think I'll be between 7 and 8 weeks then.

    And with you?
  4. irma Guest #5

Do you know what I find difficult, Deedee? Two boys' names. We already know the girl's name, hehe.

Hihi, I'm 9 weeks now and feeling really tired and sometimes super nauseous! Otherwise, everything's going well, and I'm happy it worked out the natural way. With my weird cycles, you know all about it. The ovulation tests really helped me out because I knew when I was ovulating.

I find girl names much easier. We'll see what it ends up being. Do you know yet?

I’m also participating in the “mothers for mothers” initiative. For me, they come on a Monday, and I had to collect my urine in the morning, so they also did a test then.

Yeah, put it in a closed jar.. heard somewhere that hcg evaporates or something..

    How are you feeling, my?
  8. irma Guest #9

So far we don't want to know, just like with Dean, and see if we stick with it hihi

Secretly prefer a girl but a boy is welcome too of course
  9. My1987 #10

Yes, I got that urine container from Kruidvat.

I feel really good, no real complaints. In the morning, I have a bit of a heavy feeling in my belly, like I'm nauseous, but then it's not like that anymore.

Oh, I couldn't even do that with the first one. I knew it then too. Now I want to know again, I'm really too curious

Oh my, how nice that you're feeling so good! Enjoy it!
  11. My1987 #12

    Thank you!!

My husband wants to know too. I’d like the surprise, but not for one of them, just for the other one.
  12. irma Guest #13

Deedee, that mom-to-mom forum lady thought I was 6 weeks along because of high hCG levels.

Who knows. You don't know exactly either with those long cycles. I'm curious what the ultrasound says. With me, it was fairly accurate. August 10th was the due date ultrasound. Then I'll know when my due date is.
  14. linn #15

    I'm joining in too!
  15. Floortje #16

I called! I'll have an appointment soon, and they said it's no problem at first that I don't have a positive urine test yet. I'm really curious!
  16. DeeDee012 started this #17

Me too! Do you still not have a positive test? Weird, isn't it?
  17. Irma Guest #18

Hey, how do you all like Moeders voor Moeders?
And fill 4 bottles per week, and since I work, I won't do that at my workplace.

When that MVR came for the interview, she said she'd use about 2 days' worth of milk.

Now I'm taking it somewhere else, but to say clean, no.
And full and empty are mixed up there, I find that disturbing and dirty. I sent an email. I know through that, my due date is around March 22nd.

I’ve had three weeks of vacation now and put it on hold for a bit. Luckily, that’s possible.

I find it quite doable. I get 8 bottles, one for each day, and they’re neatly picked up every week here.

    How are you doing?
  19. Irma pagina Guest #20

Great, had the first ultrasound yesterday. It was a bit smaller than we thought, but they also found an irregularity. I'm 7 weeks and 4 days now. In three weeks' time, there's another scan, then the real dating scan. But it was a nice beating heart, and everything looked good. I'm going to tell the outside world at the next ultrasound, at least for how long. I really already have a tummy, hihi.

Only the grandparents and brothers and sisters know.

Grandma and what heartburn I have.
I do feel more pregnant now, but I can't complain. With a toddler, you really can't rest, hihi, and working is proving harder than expected. Next time, we'll bring him along to the scan, too. At yours.
