I'll give the midwife a quick call tomorrow.

    It could be anything...
But let's discuss it first, maybe you did have a long cycle indeed.
I wouldn't find it weird if a partner didn't do anything about it since the tests are also negative.

    Strength, girl.

    Unfortunately

Had a miscarriage after all, passed a big, thick, dark red clot, sad but we're just going to keep moving forward.

Sharri, that's really annoying! Are you sure it's a miscarriage? Because even then, you usually get a positive test... It could also have been a buildup of the uterine lining. I'd still recommend discussing this with a midwife or something... Have you already done that?

I’ve also had a miscarriage twice. But it always started with dark blood, then very bright red, and that bright red lasted about 2 days. And I had a lot of pain, couldn’t even stand up straight. I’d still call the obstetrician, they can tell you more.

I’ve also had two miscarriages. I had some cramping sensations, but it wasn’t agonizing pain. Though I do have a high pain threshold, so someone else might experience it differently. What I did have was that I could only lie down, so incredibly tired and feeling contractions. Also, at first there was almost black blood, then it turned clear. All in all, I bled for 6 weeks and still had a positive test for almost three weeks after it happened, even though the gestational sac hadn’t even formed yet...
