    I have a question :

    Six months ago I stopped taking the pill because my boyfriend and I really want a baby. My period was supposed to start on February 12th, but it hasn't happened yet, which makes me so happy! On Wednesday, April 1st, I took a test and it was positive, although the line was faint. The next day it was exactly the same. I immediately called the midwife with joy to make an appointment, and I could come in on April 20th. In the meantime, I've been super excited but also quite unsure. I've been feeling nauseous, my breasts are sore, I'm tired, sometimes irritable, bloated easily, and all that. I was supposed to get my period on April 13th, but to my great relief, it didn't happen!!
    Today, April 20th, it was finally time for my first ultrasound. First, they did an abdominal scan, but the midwife couldn't see anything because my intestines were in the way. Then they did an internal scan, and to my great sadness, she still couldn't see anything. My boyfriend claims he saw something. I was so sad and immediately wondered how this could be possible? Now I have to do another test, which I'll do tomorrow morning. But I'm wondering what could be going on. I feel so awful, so sad because I was so happy. Does anyone know the answer to this?

    Greetings, Laura

    Skipping two periods and getting a positive test. I think it's best to trust what the midwife said. Just wait a bit and test again. Maybe you're a bit further along than expected, or maybe something else is going on. I know it's really hard to wait. Try not to get too hopeful, and maybe it'll turn out okay. When should you test again, and when can you come back?

    This morning I took another test and it was negative???? I don't understand anything anymore! I'm going to call my GP to ask what he thinks about this. The weird thing is that I do feel pregnant.

    What about that tilted uterus?

    Well, a tilted uterus can happen if your uterus is tilted? But I think you might have had an early miscarriage... Did you lose something... while peeing or do you not pay attention when you've peed?
    Let me know what your GP said, I think it's also useful to inform your partner..

    Strength, girl...

    I spoke to my GP. I need to get my blood drawn, and he also said that I might have lost the baby without any bleeding.

    @Laura,

    When will you get the results?
    I hope there will be clarity soon..

    Hi, was there absolutely nothing to see? I had an ultrasound last week, and according to my calculations, I was 7.4 weeks pregnant. There was clearly a gestational sac visible, but the embryo wasn't. My uterus is tilted and stretched out after 9 pregnancies, so they couldn't see it well. I had the same experience with my son, and he's turning 9 in June. A negative test could indeed indicate an early miscarriage. Lots of strength, I know how unsure you feel!!!

    Sorry for my late reply!
    It's so sweet that you're all caring so much. I really feel pregnant—I'm nauseous all day, my breasts are sore, pff. My boyfriend said at my last ultrasound (checking the uterus) we saw nothing. Now I had a kind of line in the middle, but everything was hard to see because my intestines were in the way. I'm doubting so much. I really hope that after they took my blood, I'll get good news.

    @laura,

    Taking your time isn't nothing you just get through..
    I really hope you get a beautiful result, when are you getting it?

    But if your test is negative, I fear the worst

    Let me know how your blood test results are...

    My midwife is also lying on her side. That's why you can't see anything with an external ultrasound because all the intestines are in front. So she has to do an internal one each time.

    I hope you'll get clarity soon! That uncertainty is terrible.

    I also had an internal ultrasound, but that woman had just graduated as an ultrasound technician.

    @laura,

    Have you received the test results yet?

    No, not yet. Tomorrow I’m going to get the shot, then I’ll finally have time.

    Maybe an ectopic pregnancy? Hopefully, you'll know more tomorrow...
  17. laura started this #18

    I had an ectopic pregnancy checked out, and thankfully it wasn't. Quick question, maybe a bit gross, but since today my urine has had a weird smell. Now I'm thinking I might be pregnant because I haven't had my period for 2 months. Has anyone else experienced this? If not, I'm getting a bit worried.

    I phrased it wrong, I mean maybe this has something to do with it

    I had blood drawn today, and I'll get the results in 4 to 5 working days.
