changing health insurance providers?

Hi everyone!
It's still a bit early but I'm already starting to look into things. At first, I didn't mind giving birth at home. Being in your own environment with your own things is nice. But now I'm leaning more towards giving birth in a maternity hotel because I can easily give birth in the bath there. This of course comes with costs. My insurance reimburses me 202 euros per day for the excess I'd have to pay. The rest is covered anyway. The family package has the same reimbursements, so I don't need to do that for that reason. But when I look at postnatal care, there's a big difference. With the package I currently have, I have to pay 4.14 euros per hour in excess. Say I want 6 hours per day for 10 days, that's 250 euros. If I switch packages, I get that amount back, and I can claim more care, namely 8 hours per day for 10 days, and I also get 15 extra hours reimbursed. They call it luxury postnatal care. Also, a lot is covered for my baby. Think of physiotherapy, glasses, etc. The package then costs me 15 euros more per month, bringing it to 145 euros per month. What would you recommend? Keep it as is or pay more and get more reimbursed?

    I switched myself because of those reimbursements. I'd rather pay a bit more per month than a large lump sum all at once. And it's a nice idea to get everything reimbursed without having to pay an out-of-pocket contribution, and have everything properly sorted out. But it's a personal choice, of course

    @Miss Myrna,

    I already have the most comprehensive package, and if I were you, I’d switch and pay a bit more per month to get the most out of your insurance...
    Especially with the little one in mind...
    So yes, indeed, what Chantieeeeee says applies to me too—it’s a personal choice...

    Good luck deciding.
