Forum 1st trimester

feeling really uncomfortable in my stomach

Hi, my name is Debbie and I'm 11 weeks pregnant.
This is my third pregnancy but only my second baby...
My belly is already starting to grow quite a bit, but I often have a bloated and painful stomach. Is that normal?
With my first pregnancy, which I carried to term, I didn't have any of that at all...

    Hi Debbie,

That's really tough. There can be many causes, but this is what I was able to find. But, well, every pregnancy is different.

So have a look and see if you find anything useful there. If the symptoms persist, I'd recommend getting in touch with your GP if I were you.

    Hang in there, girl.

    Best, Ju :-D

    I also found this:

Heartburn - About 70% of all pregnant women experience burning heartburn at some point during their pregnancy. Heartburn occurs because the uterus presses against the lower part of your stomach, causing stomach acid to flow into your esophagus. The hormone progesterone prevents the valve between your stomach and esophagus from closing properly during pregnancy. As a result, stomach acid can escape more easily.
