no mother's milk

Hi, I'm 6.5 weeks pregnant and went to the OB-GYN yesterday to check if everything was okay, since my previous pregnancy didn't go well. According to the doctor, a baby was visible on the ultrasound, the heartbeat was there, and there was a gestational sac, but no yolk sac. Has anyone else experienced this?

I don't think it's weird at all if there's no placenta yet at 6.5 weeks of pregnancy. If I remember correctly, it forms around 12 weeks...

Indeed, what Iza says is correct. The placenta replaces the yolk sac (nutrient sac) From about 9 weeks you can start seeing the placenta, and from 12 weeks it takes over from the yolk sac.
