Lots of energy

Hi!

I'm currently 5 weeks pregnant and bursting with energy. I can't sit still, feel super good, and have (unlike usual) really good bowel movements. No pregnancy symptoms at all. I find this a bit strange... are there any people who recognize this or have experienced it at the beginning of their pregnancy?

Not really, I was always tired during my pregnancy.

No, not really... I've been absolutely exhausted since the fifth week. And my bowel movements aren't as comfortable as usual either.

I don't really relate either, no, hehe. I could sleep all day during the first few weeks, at least it felt that way
But that's so lovely that you have so much energy!!! Enjoy it!

    Yes, I totally relate!
My 'symptoms' (read: vomiting, nausea, and constantly needing to pee) only started around weeks 7-8 and stopped around week 18. I was never really exhausted either, didn’t have sore nipples/chest, and didn’t have any trouble with bowel movements throughout the whole pregnancy
Not every pregnancy is like what’s described in the books/internet.
It’s often said that the second trimester is the most enjoyable, but I actually found it the toughest of all..
I’d say just enjoy it and don’t let 'standards' get to you; everyone is different!

Just had a call with my blood test results, and they're perfect! HCG is 2098, which points to 5 to 6 weeks of pregnancy. Still, it's a bit more reassuring ;-). Thanks for your replies!

I’ve also been feeling quite energetic, but I’ve had morning sickness and sometimes evening nausea, as well as constipation and sore breasts... I also had a lot of headaches, but they’re finally getting a bit better. I’m probably around 5 or 6 weeks pregnant.

I don't have more energy all the time. But I do go to the toilet a lot. At times, I do have more energy and feel restless. Other times, I'm exhausted.

Yes, in my first pregnancy (via IUI) I was truly full of energy from the moment I took Ovitrelle. Before that, I was even chronically tired. What a world of difference.

    Hi Liesbet,
I spent half an hour browsing the internet, looking for other women who also have so much energy. I totally relate to this. I'm currently in week 9 and I've been bursting with energy for weeks now!
At 7:00 in the morning, I feel like vacuuming, doing laundry, and grocery shopping. Mostly household chores... It makes no sense at all. And the funny thing is that I'm actually sleeping terribly, waking up often during the night. Fortunately, I only have sore breasts, no other complaints. I'm almost worried since I still have 3 weeks to wait until the due date ultrasound.
But I'm not the only one.
I wish you a beautiful pregnancy, and I think we should just embrace this feeling!

I'm also at five weeks now and bursting with energy, while I've been struggling with extreme fatigue for 14 years before my pregnancy and never felt rested. How blissful it is to experience this now!

Yesss! I feel the same! Always tired because of my HSP, but since I've been pregnant, I have so much energy! I'm 6 weeks pregnant now. It's wonderful, I'm enjoying it.
