Light bleeding and cramps

Hi ladies,
A worried pregnant mom here. I'm 19 weeks pregnant now and everything has been fine so far. But today I suddenly had a small bleed. On its own, that's not necessarily a big deal, but after a while I got quite strong cramps. The kind of cramps you normally always feel when you're menstruating. I don't want to rush to the OB-GYN looking like a stressed-out emotional wreck right away, but these cramps are bothering me. Does anyone else have/had this too?

Stupid question, but did you happen to have sex? Or go to the toilet?
My midwife says it's probably an innocent bleed (it can be) because everything down there is much better supplied with blood.
However, with those cramps, girl, call the midwife and ask for a check-up so you know for sure!! Stress isn't good for your baby either!!
