period is late but test is negative

Hi,
I have a question.
I took the pill until October 2014 and then stopped.
I’ve had a few periods since then with a normal cycle (28 days), so I can say I didn’t have much trouble after stopping the pill.
Now I’m 5 days late and I’m experiencing some weird abdominal pain.
Hard to describe, kind of like cramps radiating to the groin.
I’ve taken two tests now, both negative. At the moment, I’m not sure what to make of it, so hopefully someone here can give me some advice. I’ll definitely call my GP on Monday, but maybe someone here has experience with this.

what I forgot to mention is that last weekend I had some pink discharge for one day, but shortly after that I had a bit of bleeding (first red and then brown). It was over after one day, and last Tuesday there was some pink discharge again, but no more bleeding since then.
