Hi Sandra,

Congratulations on your positive pregnancy test.
Yeah, it can be super scary when you suddenly see blood while holding a positive test, I know all about it.
It could be implantation bleeding or indeed that you are pregnant but it's being miscarried.
How are you doing now?
I hope it's just implantation.
You can always call a midwife even if you just got a positive test.
They can often give some tips.
But they'll probably say to wait and see if it stops or not. How are you doing now?

    Hi AM,

    Thanks for your reply!

There's been more bleeding but no cramps. No clots or anything else weird either. Just bright red bleeding. It's so strange how it can go from one moment you're super happy with your test to the next where you're terrified. I'm still really scared. The midwife said to wait it out, indeed. They can't do anything right now.

Wow, that's amazing! How are you doing now?

I feel weird... I haven't had any clots but I still get drops of blood after peeing. Also, my tummy is doing its usual thing. I really don't know what to think. I keep checking the toilet to see if I've lost something, but that's not the case either. I want to do another test this weekend and if it's still positive, I'll call the doctor on Monday. The blood has to come from somewhere, right?

Yeah, that's right, but there's a good chance your test will be positive because either you're still pregnant and it was implantation, or it was a miscarriage but the pregnancy hormone stays in your body for a while.

I had a miscarriage myself and lost at 6 weeks, but very, very few clots (not saying you have a miscarriage now), but I took another test after about a week and it was positive, and a few days later the test didn't show up. I did this because we wanted to move on despite the sadness. What I can recommend is to ask for an ultrasound. Because otherwise you won't know for sure and they can see if there's a pregnancy at 4 weeks.

And do you know if it was implantation/bleeding or a miscarriage? Strength, girl!

Oh no, I'm so sorry you had a miscarriage! Did you have a good pregnancy after that? I also had a miscarriage last summer, which came with severe cramps—so bad that I couldn't even stand up straight. I really did pass something. Afterward, I got an infection in my abdomen from the remaining tissue. This doesn't feel like a period, but because of the bleeding, I'm starting to doubt myself. It's enough to drive you crazy????

Yeah, I get it.. The only option is to stay positive..

Unfortunately, I had a miscarriage... The bleeding kept going on. It has now stopped.

That's awful, so sad! Take your time to process it. I was really emotional for a whole week. Just let all the emotions in. Have you been to the gynecologist yet?

Yeah, I feel awful, so empty and sad! Yeah, I’ve been there, there was still a little bit left that got removed... Now just need to recover from everything.. One moment so happy and joyful, the next moment sad. Pfff

Sandra, I read your story. It's so hard to hear that you had a miscarriage. Take your time to process it. It's not nothing. Keep hoping, okay? Strength again.
