@Maartje,

I wouldn't know, it's important that you mention you have a very irregular cycle.. Discuss this with the next ultrasound. I can't help you further...
Hope you have a healthy pregnancy.

If you keep worrying, just make a new appointment..

Strength and success, let me know if everything is okay,

Love

    Hi MavanMi,
    Thanks for your sweet reply. It really is a mystery!! I'm trying to wait it out; next Wednesday I'm scheduled early. In the end, I just have to let go! If it's good, it's good, and if it's not, it's not! An ultrasound doesn't change that anyway! I'll definitely let you know after next week!

    Love, Maartje

    @Maartje,

    It'll be okay, girl, and indeed, an ultrasound can't change anything either. Try to find some distraction, however difficult it may be..

    Hugs, girl

    Hi, I can relate a bit. According to the pregnancy calculator, I'm 6 to 7 weeks pregnant now. Last Friday I had an ultrasound, and they could only see a gestational sac and a yolk sac, but no embryo yet. They only saw a tiny dot, so I think I'm actually much earlier. I have an irregular cycle because I only stopped the pill 3 months ago. I'm going back in two days, so I'm so curious! I also did a Clearblue test two weeks ago, and it said 2-3 weeks.

    September 19 was my last period, and I tested positive on October 28. Two days later, a Clearblue test said 2-3 weeks, so honestly, I think it's around 5-6 weeks.

    Greetings

    @M&J,

    Wow, enjoy it, girls... congratulations! You must have been so nervous...

  10. M&J #11

    Yeah, I was really nervous, and then she said, "Look, here you see a little embryo of 5.4 mm and its heart is beating well too." I was really happy, and my friend was too It felt like a weight had been lifted off our shoulders.

    @M&J,

    Absolutely great..

    I had that too.
    It was more than a week off, but at the dating scan I suddenly got another full week added :-)
    When the baby is still so small, a measurement error can happen quickly.
    A millimeter can already make a difference of a few days.
    So it's quite possible that around 12 weeks everything suddenly lines up again!
    I'm now 21+2 myself.

    Hang in there with the waiting, because it's quite nerve-wracking (at least I found it so).

    If you have an irregular cycle, you don't know exactly when your ovulation was. The length between ovulation and your period varies for everyone, so you can never say for sure because you don't know your cycle. I wouldn't stress yourself out too much yet; wait for the next ultrasound first. Around 7 weeks you can see the little heart beating, and if the sac is there later... Good luck!

    Good morning ladies,
    Sorry for the late reply.
    @M&J what wonderful news for you that everything is fine I understand your nerves, I'm already almost dying for next Wednesday and that while I'm normally the picture of calm... Enjoy your pregnancy, girl. I'm holding on to your positive outcome.
    @Esseke and Joyce also many thanks for your responses. The only thing I can hold on to in my thoughts is the positive test from October 17th and calculating around it drives me crazy!! Some days are better than others and so far I still feel just as pregnant... I'll let you know how it goes on Wednesday.

    Love, Maartje

    Thank you so much, Marjke! It’s going to be okay with you too! Definitely enjoy it. Thanks
  16. M&J #17

    Yeah, because the doctor had calculated 7 to 8 weeks for me, but it turned out I was only 6 weeks on Friday last week, so ovulation can also be later, like in my case... Good luck tomorrow, let me know!
  17. Maartje #18

    Thanks M&J,
    The longer it takes, the more negative I get !! Tomorrow I'm lucky to be early in line! I'll let you know and of course really hope for such a beautiful message as you! Otherwise, I feel like usual and everything's going well...

    Yeah, I totally get your insecurity now. I can talk about it because every woman has that, and it'll definitely work out fine for you. You'll get a nice ultrasound, I'm sure of it. Last time with mine, you couldn't see anything at all except a little dot, and a week later there was a fetus and a beating heart. You'd have that too, really. It grows super fast in just a week. Stay calm, girl, everything will be fine. xx

    Here's a quick update! Unfortunately, things aren't looking good. The baby hasn't grown any further and there's no heartbeat. I've been given pills and took the first dose today, and I need to insert four more on Friday. I hope it'll be over soon. Honestly, it's a relief now that I know and we can move forward.
    Thanks for your positive and encouraging replies, and enjoy your pregnancies and your beautiful babies soon. Luckily, I already have two healthy children, and I feel like it'll work out next time! Love, Maartje
