19 weeks pregnant and no movement yet

I'm currently 19 weeks pregnant and haven't felt my little girl even once so far. The placenta was located at the back on the 16-week scan. I keep reading about people who can already feel their baby at 18 weeks, and I'm starting to get a bit worried. Are there any other people who haven't felt anything yet at that stage?

    Hi!

I felt our girl for the first time at 20/21 weeks, and now at 22 weeks, very gently and not every day.
I had the same worries as you and talked about it with my midwife, and she told me that I shouldn't worry at all and that it's completely normal for a first baby.
Try not to get worked up by other people's stories (you do it automatically haha, but still try not to!) Every baby and every pregnancy is different.

I felt it for the first time at 17 weeks, but that was pure coincidence, I think. After that, I could feel him around 22 weeks, and only from week 24 or 25 did I feel him properly. The midwife said it was because my placenta is at the front, which acts like a cushion, so you don't feel the movements as well.

I'm 19 weeks and still haven't felt anything. But don't worry too much, I think it'll happen soon.

It's not weird at all to not feel anything yet at 19 weeks. With my first pregnancy, I felt something for the first time the day before my 20-week scan. If you're worried, you can always ask your midwife if she'd like to let you hear the heartbeat. And your 20-week scan is also coming up soon (if you're having it done, that is).
