Haven't felt the baby yet

Hey Maaike,

I felt our little one for the first time this week. It's indeed very faint. I notice that I don't feel it during the day. Once I'm in bed or sitting in the armchair with my legs stretched out, I feel something move. Because the pregnancy was very difficult at the beginning, I borrowed a fetal doppler from my sister-in-law. It's not expensive at all and is really great to use. When I'm worried, I just listen to the little heartbeat and feel better immediately. It's also great to do together with the soon-to-be dad. My partner can now spontaneously come over in the evening with the Bodymed Doppler and come listen. You can connect two headsets to it and listen together. You can also hear the baby moving.

Maybe this helps you too

    Hi Minion83,
Thanks for your tip, I'll think about it!
How many weeks are you at now?

    Hi Maaike,

Where is your placenta located? Do you know? Because if your placenta is at the front, it might also be that you feel less movement. My placenta is on the right front side, and I've never really felt anything with it at 28 weeks. I always feel movement on the right or towards the top.

    Hi Amy,
My placenta is located at the top and slightly towards the front, so that can make a difference too!
Thanks, it's reassuring to know that, luckily, more people have this!

    Hey Maaike,
    We're almost 22 weeks along.
Had an ultrasound yesterday and our little guy weighs 496 grams now.
Now it's 6 weeks until the next doctor's visit.
I hope you'll feel your little one soon.
