How did you feel about having a girl?

According to the ultrasound, we're having a girl. But my gut still says boy... I was told at the nuchal translucency scan, using the nub theory, that it's a girl, and again at the 20-week scan... but I'm still unsure. So my question is, how did you guys see it on the ultrasound?

PS: I'm happy either way. That everything has been healthy so far is the most important thing to me. But I'd love to get some ideas for the nursery ;-)

    It was really clear on the ultrasound photo... The doctor checked it 8 times to be sure. It's always harder to see with girls than with boys.

    With us, they got it wrong the first time. We thought we were having a girl from 18 weeks until 32 weeks, but it turned out to be a boy. Then we had to quickly pick different colors for the nursery hahaha.

    Now I believe they usually get it right, but in our case, they didn’t quite get it right.

    At my 20-week scan, nothing was visible. The baby was in a tucked position and had her legs too close together. After that, we had another scan and found out we’re having a girl. According to the midwife, it was 100% certain because she saw three nice lines, she said.

    Thank you so much! On the first ultrasound, we clearly saw 3 lines (also known as the sandwich sign), but on the last ultrasound, there were only 2 lines. That's why I got a bit lost in the thread.

    Both midwives now saw that it would be a girl at 17.5 weeks and 20 weeks. In my previous three pregnancies with my boys, they saw it right away too. Apparently, they see boys faster. ;-)

    It's April now. Did you get another ultrasound and are you still unsure?

    Hi ladies,

    It's now very clear that it's a girl. Last Monday she went to have her heart checked, and right when they started the ultrasound, a lady said it was clearly a girl. So now it's confirmed by 3 different people. I'm busy decorating the room! ;-)!
