Folic acid

I found out last Thursday that I'm pregnant (overmorrow 5 weeks according to the calculations) but now I've been thinking about it over the weekend..
Women who want to become pregnant consciously start taking folic acid beforehand to minimize possible birth defects as much as possible, and continue until at least the 8th week.
Now I'm unexpectedly (but wanted) pregnant, but do I still need to start taking folic acid?? Since I'm already almost 5 weeks along..
I can't really find specific info about it on the internet..

You can really take folic acid until week 11! Everything is still developing! So hurry up to the pharmacy!

Yes, up until about week 11, your baby's nervous system is developing. Until then, it makes sense to take folic acid. So go ahead and do it!!!
