1st trimester
miscarriage
Hi Isa,
That's really tough for you; a miscarriage is awful. Bleeding can last up to two weeks. You'll know your uterus is empty when the bleeding slowly decreases. You also shouldn't have any more stomach pain. Increasing bleeding and cramps are signs that your body is still working on it.
After my miscarriages, I really needed to be with my partner a lot and cuddle, you know, intimacy. However, I still had a lot of pain and lost a lot of blood. Sex was the last thing I wanted. I ended up getting a D&C.
Regarding the D&C, hopefully it won't be necessary. If it does become necessary, psychologically it's all very hard, but a D&C isn't that painful. It'll be much easier than you think. But again, hopefully it won't be needed.
Wishing you all the best moving forward. Best, Wens
