Uncertain

Hi everyone,

I’m now 14 weeks and 5 days.
But I’m still feeling unsure if everything is okay with the baby.

I’ve had 2 miscarriages before.
My first check-up with the gynecologist was at 12 weeks and 2 days. And then you just have to wait 4 weeks until you have a new appointment.
I understand that it’s normal for the next appointment to be 4 weeks later.

But how can you tell if something’s wrong with the baby?

I feel good sometimes, but now I’m feeling nauseous again.
Dull pain in my belly and a bit in my side, and occasionally still tender breasts.

Best,
Vivian

    Hi Mama2012,
It's a natural reaction, especially after two miscarriages. Is your gynecologist aware of this? Those pains in your belly are normal; everything needs to stretch a bit ;-) Try to stay positive, and if you're really worried, do reach out to your gynecologist, midwife, or GP—they can listen to the baby's heartbeat at 14 weeks, right? Good luck, and try to enjoy it a little.
    Warm regards,
    Patty

I'm also often insecure because it took us so long to get it to work. I think that's very natural. But it doesn't make sense, I do know that. Patty gives good advice, I think you can't do more. Only if you really get severe pain in your belly or lose a lot of blood, then you know for sure that something is wrong. Good luck with the insecurity.

    Thank you all..

I’m lucky I don’t have too much pain..
    And no bleeding either..

But just hoping that on March 17th everything is still okay..
Then we’ll have an ultrasound and I’ll be 16 weeks pregnant..

    Thank you all

    Best,

    Hi,
I totally get what you mean. I had one miscarriage and was constantly scared that something would go wrong again (still am). Every little sensation would send me into a panic, but once you start feeling the baby, it gets a bit better. You really have to assume everything is okay, otherwise you'd just go crazy.
    Take care!
