Feeling baby(ies) at 7 weeks already?

Hi there!

I read somewhere that very few people feel anything at this stage, but I really have the feeling that there's quite a bit of movement already...

I haven't had my first ultrasound yet (only in 2 weeks), so I'm not sure if I'm actually 7+1 weeks pregnant right now.

Also: do other women have the "feeling" that they're expecting twins (even though there's no real reason to think so), and did it turn out to be true? I'm asking because I already feel something... My mother-in-law had twins, but otherwise, it's not known in our family or if it's something that happens with me.

Thanks in advance for your replies,

Kind regards

Oh, I just want to add that I’m almost nauseous 24/7 (no vomiting), and it seems like there’s a reaction when I rub my belly with my hand.

    Hi precious86,

    I definitely think it can.
I went for my first ultrasound today (I'm 10 weeks 3 days) and on the scan you could see the baby move, and at that moment I felt a little tickle in my belly.
I've been feeling that every time for a week now, but I never really thought it could be the baby until I saw it happen!

My nausea is finally over now for 2 days. I was nauseous all day but without throwing up, and now I don't have any discomfort anymore.

    Hi Stephanie,

    Thanks for your reply!!!

Oh how nice to be able to see that right away, huh!!
I actually have the same feeling in my belly every day, very softly like fluttering, but I do feel it... so weird!

Oh, I hope I won't be this nauseous for the whole pregnancy. I can barely bend over anymore without throwing up! Haha.
Oh well, it supposedly is a good sign if you're nauseous, so in that regard...

    hello

First of all, big congratulations on your pregnancy,

They usually say that with a second pregnancy you can feel it sooner, but with the first one, I'm not so sure? Usually it's the intestines, but yeah, maybe it could be

As for your nausea, I had it too and I took homeopathic pills for it, for pregnant women and even young children can take them, it's based on ginger and available at the pharmacy and it helped

I wish you both an easy pregnancy

    Greetings

    Hi N. Coppola,

    Thank you!

Wow, really that early? By the way, this is my second pregnancy.
I find it quite exciting, I just have to wait for the ultrasound, haha!

Ah, that's very useful to know.
For now, I'm managing pretty well with an occasional half glass of cola in between or just taking some time to sit still and relax! But I'll keep it in mind!

Thank you! And thanks for your reply too!

    Best wishes

I'm now 13+5 days, but unfortunately, I still don't feel anything.
Once I thought I felt something, but I'm afraid it was just my intestines or something.
On the ultrasound, it was also visible that the baby was 15 cm deep, so I'm afraid it'll still take a while before I feel it

I'm now 10 weeks and 3 days, and sometimes I feel like I can gently sense my baby, but it could of course also be my intestines... According to the OB-GYN, with a second pregnancy, you usually don't start feeling movements until around 15 weeks...

    Hi hi,

Turns out it was my bowels after all.
I can now say with certainty that I felt the real movements from 13 weeks onwards..
So earlier than 15 weeks is possible.. but not much earlier either!

    Hi everyone,
I'm pregnant for the first time, 11 weeks along, and I've been rubbing my belly. Every time I do, I hear a thumping sound. Now I'm wondering if it's the baby?

    Hi.

I also felt some rumbling in my belly quite early, around 10-12 weeks. But the pops only started around 16 weeks, and then they became kicks. By 22 weeks, I could sometimes feel them from the outside too, though very lightly. Now at 24 weeks, I feel kicking all day long, and it's also clearly visible and palpable from the outside!

@Nadiya, that thumping is almost certainly your heartbeat or intestines. At eleven weeks, a baby is still so tiny that you won't hear those sounds yet. You'll really feel them later on. Precious86 mentioned 13 weeks, which is about right. You're the only one who can assess the situation, so are you doubting? Call your midwife. They'll know for sure.
