Pregnant and can't enjoy it anymore in the cold!

Hi ladies,

I'm 14 weeks pregnant and have been feeling cold all day for 10 weeks now. The heating is on at 21/22 degrees, I've got a blanket on the couch, and I'm still freezing. This means I get goosebumps/hard nipples and thus painful breasts all day long. Those brats have grown 3 cup sizes since I got pregnant, and they're restricting me in so many awful ways. Running/sex/walking the dog/relaxing/taking a bath/showering!

Does anyone have an idea how I can get warm again and hopefully have less breast pain? I read that pregnant women actually feel warmer???

The real winter cold hasn't even hit yet! Help!!!

Hi there! I hope this helps—it already makes a big difference if you can get someone else to walk the dog for a bit, because otherwise you keep getting cold again every time you have to go out to let it out. In the meantime, you can soak your feet in a bowl of warm water and take a nice warm bath. Try to enjoy your pregnancy because of the baby!

Your baby can feel all your emotions in your belly. Warm regards, Saskia

I always feel cold during pregnancies too. But towards the end, you'll usually feel warm. Just wear nice thick clothes and, if necessary, take a warm shower twice a day. As you said, put a blanket over yourself when you're sitting on the couch and turn up the heating a bit. Drink tea. There's not much you can do about sore breasts. That should get better in due time.
