I get it I started stressing and worrying too at some point. And every month you hope with all your heart that you don't get your period. You're worrying too much When the time is right, it happens. I also have a 28-day cycle. And according to the calculations, I got pregnant a few days before my period. There are more things that can affect why it doesn't work out—you're sick (or were), overweight, underweight, whatever. There are so many reasons but nothing to worry about. Just don't overthink it and it'll happen

thanks angela there's something to that i don't have any issues my husband doesn't either he's been checked out and he already has a son from his previous marriage who is now 12. so all i need now is trust i think i should try to change my mindset and have more faith in my own body since i don't have any issues i was so surprised when i heard everything was fine ovulation is regular every month the uterus looks good healthy uterus and the ovaries had no adhesions everything was good the sperm test was also good we had to have intercourse and the next day the gynecologist checked if the sperm was still active and how it was in my uterus very good he said they are well placed in your uterine lining and they are active so all in all he said you don't have any issues and neither does your husband so now just try on your own but i'll try to think now it has to happen i'll just tell myself spring or summer is fine too i'll try to let go of the must-haves a bit i'm already a bit of a control freak myself always wanting to see results immediately does that even work my body might be against it anyway thanks for your advice best wishes sharona

    Hi ladies!

Angela, you're right. The more you focus on it, the longer it takes. I have 3 kids and we decided to go for number 4. I got pregnant the very next month. Everything went fine until I had a miscarriage at 23 weeks. Since October, we've been trying again and it's become kind of an addiction; tracking temp and mucus, taking ovulation tests, and basically everything you can think of. Even though I never did any of that before.

We've now decided to go back to how we did it before because it's not fun anymore I get more stressed and then it doesn't work anyway.

Glad to hear you're letting go a bit, Sharona Give your body and nature a chance. Your body also reacts to stress, etc. And from what you're saying, everything is fine, so don't worry about anything. Once you have the baby, you won't think anymore, "ooo, we had to wait so long for this." For your feelings, it just feels so slow. And the days seem to crawl by. Give your body the time and let it prepare. Then everything will be fine For us, it was really a surprise. We were actually going to stop trying because we're getting married in a few months, so it wouldn't have been smart to get pregnant because then I'd just be in my postpartum period when we got married. And what do you know, I got pregnant. So weird because you're not focusing on it. And especially not intensely, etc. And that's exactly when it happens. Because you're not thinking about it 24/7. Because you definitely do that when you really want a baby It will work out, girl. You're still young. And healthy. So that little one will come

No, that doesn't sound nice to me either. Is the disappointment always really big? Bigger than when you do it the natural way? Because then you just have the feeling of 'too bad, hope again next month', which is so much better for your body. A lot of people also don't realize that this still causes a lot of stress, even if you don't feel it because it's something you really want. But you put so much pressure on yourself because you want it to work. And you really want to do it for your husband too. And that puts a kind of burden on your shoulders. You'll make it It's just really nerve-wracking that you keep getting disappointed

It stresses my husband out too; he even says he sometimes feels like he's only being used for getting pregnant. He feels like I want to have sex at such specific times. That shocked me a bit. By the way, I've only been doing ovulation tests since last Friday, when I bought them for the first time. Greetings, Sharona

Yeah, my partner had that too. Of course he really wanted it, but he always said he felt like a sperm donor. Because it’s no longer about feeling connected, but just about making babies. I think it’s really good that he told you how it affects him. And maybe because it was so stressful to try to have kids, it felt forced for him. Greetings, Angela xx

Hi ladies, wishing you all a healthy and happy New Year in advance, and may all your wishes for the new year come true. It's exciting for me now because my period is due on Monday. I hope it doesn't happen, of course. Best wishes, Sharona

Hi Sophia, unfortunately, I got my period again, but I'm trying to face it with full courage. It was a disappointment, of course, but I'll do my best again and hope that this month, in the new year, it will work out. By the way, I had a positive ovulation test on the 11th and 13th day, but not on the 15th. So I tested negative.

I got my period on day 29 of my cycle, so I'm really scared that I ovulated on day 18 or 19, since my cycle was 29 days long. It's a bit weird that the ovulation test showed different days, but intuitively I feel like it was day 18 or 19. Anyway, I think I'll do it differently this time without an ovulation test and try on days 18 and 19 instead of 11 and 13 to see if it works. By the way, do you already have kids? Thanks for your interest in whether it worked out yet. Greetings, Sharona

I've now taken day 11 and day 13. I'm trying to have intercourse for 3 more days this week. I'm doing it without ovulation tests, hoping for the best. Intuitively, I feel that my ovulation is further away than on day 11 or 12. Greetings, Sharona

Now I don't understand anything anymore. I've always had a cycle of 28 or 29 days, pretty much on the clock. And now suddenly a cycle of 26 days. It's nice somewhere that I'm done with it faster, but not nice that I don't know my body well anymore. That means I ovulated earlier than usual before, but well, I'm 22 now and have never had such a short cycle. So I'm going to assume from now on that my ovulation this month also comes earlier. Just to be safe. I was so surprised about the 26-day cycle. Greetings, Sharona
