A cold beer in the evening, only during the pregnancy. I have one more on the weekend, max 2 on Saturday.
There are not many good substitutes that aren't so sweet. Now I'm drinking flavored water.
The positive of cutting it out combined with work (less time for eating and snacking) is that I've lost about 7 kg.

Not pregnant yet, but actively trying. Was waiting for a positive test last time and had baked a cake, but couldn't help licking the bowl (sad egg) so disappointing!

    Hi everyone!

I was told that you can eat a steak pretty rare, BUT it has to have been frozen for at least 3 days. Then all the naughty germs would be dead too.

And for the American lovers among us (me too - I'm also from Belgium!!) there's a fantastic alternative! It tastes almost the same and has the same texture: vegetarian American!

    Really a recommendation!

Seems like a wise choice to me. As far as I know, only the multiplication of bacteria stops. Once they're there, they don't die, only through significant heating.

I'm starting to really crave a hard roll or a wrap with smoked salmon.
But filet americain or a nice steak or tartare would also taste good again.....
At the beginning of my pregnancy, I couldn't even think about these kinds of things, but now that the nausea is gone and my taste has come back....well, I'll stop here

American filets and steak!!! As soon as the little one is out, my mom is going to cook me a delicious steak right away, can't wait!!

Wine, oh how I long for it even though I don't really drink it and never did before my pregnancy hahaha!!

I'll just eat sushi, but only the varieties without fish just to be safe!
You can eat Brie with a clear conscience, like many cheeses. Nowadays, not many cheeses are raw and it's always clearly stated on the label!

    Carpaccio or drop

Sushi & Hoegaarden with raspberry! Hmm!

But to be honest, I do indulge occasionally. But my midwife said it's no harm if you don't overdo it.
I really can't give up coffee. So I try to drink only 1 or 2 cups a day.
I really don't dare eat raw fish. And for minced meat, there's actually a solution: put it in the freezer (-18°C).
That was my midwife's tip when I said I really struggled with salami and not eating minced meat when making spaghetti.

Can't you have minced meat then? I'd never heard that before.
  10. Marie #70

    No raw minced meat, no.
But I don’t know if you’re immune to toxoplasmosis.
    But I’m definitely not immune.

Ooo, did you mean baked, hehe
  12. Shana #72

prepare and drop it, I'm laughing so hard haha

Oh, I eat licorice every day... I need to get more salt from my doctor because of low blood pressure, so licorice isn't on my list of forbidden foods for me.
  14. MaureenBB87 #74

    SUSHI!!!!
  15. tusya #75

Oh yes. SUSHI!!!! I'm crazy about sushi...
and a glass of wine.... delicious
  16. Valuna #76

You can have licorice, just not too much, a few pieces per day.

What I miss is not so much salami/cervelaat sausage and liver sausage.
  17. Valuna #77

    Oh and soft-boiled egg
  18. Miss V #78

I’m missing a happy Red Bull with the heat...
  19. Liesseling #79

I miss everything. I eat standard filet americain, steak, roast beef, carpaccio, salami, or cervelaat sausage. So really, every day. So yeah, this is really quitting for me.

A sandwich with Martino would taste good.
    Or homemade tiramisu.
I found a recipe for chocolate mousse, so luckily I can eat that
