Brie sandwich! On a nice baguette

But you can eat Brie, right? As long as it's made from pasteurized milk, which is basically every Brie in the supermarket.
    You can still enjoy it

    That's nice then

Yes, Brie is definitely okay, so yummy!
I’m missing a filet americain sandwich. My husband had brought some home the other day, for heaven’s sake...

I miss everything I can’t have except my cigarette, but sushi or a filet American sandwich, or what about a little drink when you’re with a big group of friends again, suddenly having a cozy time, and it’s just a bit too late but oh so fun... (but yeah, you know what you’re doing it for, or rather what you’re NOT doing it for) ;-)

ooooee Rosbief and a nice juicy steak! Such a well-done steak is not what.. After the birth, I'll get that straight away.. But I have it for the little hummel, even if I had to be completely vegetarian..

Yeah, delicious steak, a glass of wine, and a cigarette..
    Oh, fun topic, haha
  8. Jeanine Chan #9

No, with the cigarettes I stopped immediately when I found out I was pregnant, and I have to say it's going really well for me. No cravings for those either, but all the other edible treats you're not supposed to have... (0_o) Or that occasional drink...

Hmm, sushi, roast beef, and a delicious filet mignon sandwich... I shouldn't have read this forum, I'm suddenly craving it so much;-)
  10. Patty #11

A smoske martino! Hmmmmmm hahaha It's a Belgian sandwich with file-american and stuff. I'm already craving it again! :-D

I do have a craving for sushi And tuna salad, or carpaccio. As for the rest, it doesn't take much effort for me to stick to the 'rules'. I wasn't smoking or drinking anyway

A nice tender steak and a baguette with fillet!
  13. evy #14

Here’s a fillet sandwich too, it’s the first thing they’re allowed to bring when I’ve given birth.
  14. wendy #15

A sandwich with smoked salmon and a nice glass of red wine.
  15. Wen #16

I get cravings for sushi, white wine, toast with smoked salmon... and herring.
No one could tell me whether herring falls under 'raw fish' or not. Opinions online are divided too... so last week I went to the fishmonger and he told me I could safely eat a herring... DELICIOUS!!!
So from now on I'll treat myself to a nice big herring every week!
  16. Jeanine Chan #17

Well, I recently found out that you can actually eat sushi, smoked salmon, and herring! I'm now 37 weeks pregnant and have been avoiding these treats since I found out. However, the sushi shouldn't contain predatory fish (like tuna) due to mercury levels, and the fish must be fresh (so definitely not vacuum-packed). A sushi restaurant wouldn't dare use non-fresh fish out of fear that their customers would get sick, so I'd say... stop punishing yourself. (If you're still unsure, just ask your midwife/gynecologist.)
  17. sim0ne #18

I wouldn't just casually assume it's safe to go there. The average sushi restaurant is definitely not McDonald's, but I wouldn't call it haute cuisine either. I really don't just assume they use fresh smoked salmon.

Fresh, in principle, has nothing to do with getting sick. Pre-packaged smoked salmon isn't fresh, but normally no one gets sick from it. It's just bad for pregnant women...

Smoked salmon from the fishmonger is fine. Just ask your midwife. It's the vacuum-packed smoked salmon you shouldn't have because the bacteria multiplies rapidly along the edges of the packaging. It's not much of a risk for us, but it can be harmful to your unborn baby.

    That's right.
