Bad sleep

Hi ladies,

Girls, I asked for your advice.
My daughter used to take 2 naps until 3 weeks ago. In the morning from 10.15 to 11, and in the afternoon from 15 to 15.45
At some point, she stopped sleeping when I put her in bed in the morning, or she only fell asleep after a good hour. In the afternoon, she also lay awake for longer and longer before falling asleep. So I thought: great, time for 1 nap.
That seemed to go well. She was tired in the morning, but she still held out until 12.30, and then slept until 13.30.
That is admittedly only 1 hour, but apparently she had enough of it, because she easily held out until 18.30.
Anyway, now suddenly for a few days, she only sleeps 30 minutes in the afternoon, which means she is extremely tired by 16.30. But the fact is, when I put her to bed at 18.30, she wakes up after 30 minutes as usual, and stays awake until 21.30, even though she is tired.
She falls asleep at 21.30, until the next morning at 07.00.
All in all, she gets just under 10 hours of sleep per day.
9 hours at night, and 30 minutes in the afternoon.
I find this extremely little, but what should I do about it?? She is really extremely tired, but she refuses to sleep longer in the afternoon, or to sleep earlier than 21.30 in the evening.
Helpppppp !!!!

It seems like your baby might be a bit overtired/overstimulated, which makes it hard for her to fall asleep. Could you let her have a short nap in the stroller around 4:30 PM, for example, so she can go to bed around 7:30 PM and maybe fall asleep more easily?

Instead of putting her to bed at 6:30, start with a bath, put on pajamas, give the last bottle (it's like a little ritual, and it tires her out nicely), and then put her to bed at 7:30. Maybe give it a try?

How old is your little one?
And what do you mean by "little"?
Every baby has their own sleep rhythm, which is different for each child.
I don’t know how old your child is, but for example, I skipped the morning nap for my daughters when they were 2 years old because otherwise, they’d get very tired in the afternoon. As a result, they’d sleep in the afternoon and only wake up late in the afternoon, which made them want to go to bed much later in the evening.
So I skipped both their morning and afternoon naps, kept them busy, and that way I could stretch bedtime to, say, 7:45 PM, and they’d sleep peacefully all night without waking up.

    Greetings, Madelene
