Are those pregnancy woes between your ears??

You really struggled at first, like for the first 6 months or so. And now you still get it sometimes, even though it shouldn't even be possible. The little tester has really earned its keep with all the tests I've put it through..
I can tell you that you need to let go and not think about it so much, but that doesn't really help, hehe.

Hahahahaha, tell me about it! That's the advice everyone gives, especially those who don't have kids yet, because how can you NOT think about it... weekends are the worst! During the week, at work, I don't have time to think about it... I'm just too busy... so let Monday come quickly (then I can also test, because tomorrow is my NOD...) then I'm immediately free from my insecurity... at least for this month.
How about you? Where are you in your cycle now?

Girl, I’ve heard that advice so many times hahaha.. Until I tried to get pregnant and it turned out I couldn’t conceive on my own, then I stopped getting that advice but the symptoms also became less.
But if you’re busy during the week or something, it’s indeed less heavy than in the evenings and weekends!
Do you feel like it might happen this month? Exciting!
I’m now on cycle day 3. I don’t get my period on my own (I don’t ovulate) so my menstruation is induced by medication. Starting Clomid again tonight, for 5 days. I’m now at the highest possible dose, 150mg, lower doses didn’t work. From day 12 onwards I’ll have ultrasounds to see if any eggs are maturing.

I don't dare to think anything yet... I'm only in round 2, so the chance it's a success right away is just small. I'm also being careful because I don't want to give false hope..
Gosh, you're also going through a tough process and a heavy period.. I hope you get lucky this time! You deserve it! I'm curious if it works out now, let me know??
Wishing you lots of success!!

Hi Linda,
I'm also afraid it's all in your head; I recognize that too.
Because of the symptoms, I started trusting that I wasn't pregnant.
I didn't try last month and actually had no complaints! (but wasn't pregnant either)
The longer you try, the worse it gets, and then it eventually goes down again.
I hope you get pregnant soon though, because having your body play tricks on you for a year is really not fun.
Are you taking your temperature or using ovulation tests, or are you just guessing?
Has your period arrived yet or have you tested? -

Hello!!!!! I usually have a 30-day cycle, so last month we've been trying every other day from day 11 to 21.. So far no ovulation tests or anything.. I'm now 3 days late and haven't tested yet, I'll do it on Thursday, on my boyfriend's birthday... I'm actually not really brave enough, scared that it'll be negative and after a year and a half my cycle will be turned upside down because I'm focusing on it so much now.. So it's really double-edged.. I hope I get my period because then I'm still somewhat in my cycle, but also not because I hope we're pregnant.... But no period and not pregnant would really suck, because I was so happy with a regular cycle... So just waiting until Thursday.. In the meantime though, I get occasional period-like cramps, so I think it's coming..... -

Hi Linda,
Yeah, it's exciting and your body can really do weird things. I had a cycle of 21 days for months and then suddenly it was 23, 25, and now already twice 27 days.
Did you take the pill before? Because I often hear that after stopping you can have an irregular cycle for a while.
I hope you're already pregnant, and quickly too, why not. It's a nice day to find out if you're pregnant.
Congratulations and have a cozy day tomorrow! -

Hey katootjekip (funny name hahahaha), I got my period this morning (started a little bit yesterday evening, but now it's really here..). It was too good to be true within just 2 rounds, but it could have worked...
I stopped using the Nuva Ring in March 2012. The first cycle (without Nuva) was 8 days late, the second one 5 days late, and after that always around 3 or 4 days late.. From January onwards it went like this: 3, 2, 0, 0, 2, 3, 3, 0, 4... So actually, the very first real cycle was exactly on day 28, and this month I was 4 days over.. Next month I'll start using ovulation tests, because otherwise it's confusing and exhausting (we tried every other day from day 11 to 21 last month, well... that really wasn't fun anymore...)
We're going for round 3! -

Hi Linda,
Too bad, it's too good to be true, there are plenty who hit the mark right away, but unfortunately you have to keep going. The wait will only seem to take longer...
Yeah, doing it every other day is also not really my thing, we're doing it now this month starting from the day after my period and using ovulation tests to know when we can do it again out of love. They say it's better to do it every other day even before ovulation, that's better for the sperm.
I find ovulation tests really nice to use, I use two different ones, the expensive digital one and the cheap dipsticks, I can definitely recommend the cheap ones.
Love, Katootjekip -

I’ve got 30 cheap ones now, and when I think I’ve ovulated, I check with the expensive CB one. Those lines are probably pretty unclear... It’s a bit of a guess. And we naturally want to be sure... Which cycle are you in?? -

Hi Linda,
I also have a cycle of about 30 days. I'm 2 days late today and find the whole situation really nerve-wracking. I took a ClearBlue test this morning, but unfortunately, it was negative. Still, I don't want to lose hope until I actually get my period. This waiting is tough though. It's exhausting because you're living in this uncertainty.
Yesterday at work, I suddenly got a really sharp pain in my side, which I never normally have! I'm also feeling nauseous at times and quite tired. Usually, when I'm about to get my period, I get headaches and back pain, but I don't have any of that now. Maybe it's all in my head... -

It's so frustrating! Especially because you think you might be pregnant, then you start doubting again. You really want it to be true, and one moment you just feel pregnant—you just know, it worked! But the next moment, you're sure it didn't. You just get your period... Since I'm still so early in the process, getting my period now feels like a relief. I know where I stand and how things will go from here. No more doubt.
On to the next round, full of tension...
Good luck! I hope it sticks!! -

I really think it's all in your head. I've had a little bit of that too since we started trying. I've had that feeling twice that it really was! And once it was negative, and the second time is now, so I have to wait a bit longer.
But the body and mind are closely connected, so I believe it's all in your head.
By the way, I also use Clear Blue ovulation tests. Very clear.
Linda, it can happen quickly! I have a friend with three kids, and all three got pregnant in the first month!
I hope for you and of course for everyone else that it happens quickly for all of us. -
Roosje #14
Totally right! We'll just have to wait and see. I've suddenly got a headache now... I'm also just at the beginning, so the blow won't be as big if it's not like that. We're waiting with bated breath. -

Totally right! We'll just have to wait and see. I've got a headache all of a sudden... I'm also just at the beginning, so the blow is less big if it's not like that. We're waiting with anticipation. -

Hi ladies,
can I chat here for a bit?
I felt my ovulation on 9/20 (I think I felt it because I had some stabbing pains on the right side of my lower belly for a few hours). It's the first time I've felt it since I was on the pill until the end of August.
Now I've been feeling all sorts of things all month. The week of my ovulation, my nipples hurt a lot, but that eventually went away. On 9/27 I had a dull ache in my lower belly. On 10/1 I had very light pink discharge. Now I suddenly feel nothing anymore (except a bloated feeling). From what I've read everywhere, I should be getting my period on Saturday. But I can't stop thinking about it because of the nerves, probably because it's my first attempt and I don't know how long my cycle really is yet.
Cheers -

@jake if it really was your ovulation, you can be up to 19 days late for your period. It's been 13 days since your egg, so in principle, tomorrow is your expected date. They always assume 14 days, but it can be up to 19 days!
Good luck!

@Kruimel thanks for your reply. So it's not too early to test
because they can still come through later. -
Roosje #19
Exciting, Jake! Waiting always feels so long... I hope it's positive for you. I'm 2 days late myself and will do a Clearblue test tomorrow morning. I read everywhere that it detects pregnancy faster than the Clearblue digital, which requires a higher HCG level.
Anyone have experience with this? -
katootjekip #20
Hi Linda,
Haha I did the cheap ones every day too, and then the expensive ones when I thought I had it, but the line is pretty clear though, you can see right away that it's positive.
I still have 20 digital ones left, so I'll just use those every day now. It's a waste if I end up pregnant later and still have a pile of those tests lying around.
I've been at it for exactly a year now and this is round 17 for us, and I hope to see a
on my ovulation test soon and then wait again.
I hope for everyone else here that it'll be quicker for you than it is for us.
How old are you guys?
Love
