Not feeling pregnant

Sofie
Hi everyone,

We're expecting our first little one in about 4 months, so everything is super exciting! Now, I'm not complaining—I feel really good—but sometimes I feel a bit sad that I only realize I'm pregnant when the little one kicks. I've never been nauseous, no round ligament pain, barely gained 4 kilos.
Even no belly yet! So people who don't know me don't know.

I wonder if there are other women with this and when things will start showing and my belly will grow?

    Hi Sofie,

I myself had quite a baby bump and was happy about it, so I can imagine you're missing that a bit. On the other hand, I did have quite a bit of morning sickness and ended up with quite a few stretch marks on my belly that aren't going away, so it has its upsides too.

A friend of mine didn't notice you were pregnant either. It wasn't until about a month before your due date that you really started showing. I don't know if it was the same for you, of course. Sometimes it can happen quite quickly, I think.

    Hi Sofie,

Here’s another one who doesn’t have any pregnancy awareness or feeling. During my first pregnancy, I had a huge belly right away and really felt pregnant – I had hormone issues, round ligament pain, all sorts of ailments, and now I only have pain in my lower back, hips, and legs (because our little one is positioned very low). But apart from that and the kicking, I don’t feel pregnant at all, and my belly isn’t growing much either. I had a visible bump from the start, but it doesn’t seem to be increasing. It’s so extreme that I sometimes forget I’m pregnant.

    Greetings, Evy
