Red Bull during pregnancy?

Hi everyone!
How about Red Bull during pregnancy? I was pretty much addicted to Red Bull and usually drank 3-4 a day, but now I only have one a week. Is it bad for the baby if I drink one a week now?
Love, Manon

Red Bull is already bad when you're not pregnant, let alone when you are!
I'd limit it to once a week or maybe even avoid it altogether!

Hi Manon, officially it's possible to drink a Red Bull. It contains about 80mg of caffeine, which is within the limits, but... it has way too much taurine, and it's not known what that does during pregnancy or later on in development.

Taurine is also linked to the development of the central nervous system, eyes, and muscle development. I would avoid it during my pregnancy (if I even wanted one...).

I’ve always been crazy about Red Bull, but when I was pregnant, I didn’t drink a single one. It’s just junk, so if you can avoid it, I’d do that

Hey girls! Thanks for your replies. I've just decided that this is my last Red Bull for the next few months. I also skipped it during my son's pregnancy, so I should be able to do it again now! Love

    Good luck! You've got this!

In terms of quantities and such, you'll probably be okay with a Red Bull, but it's such a mess and that caffeine gets to your little one too! I'd just leave it alone and have a candy that's just as sweet or other nutrients that give you energy (like nuts, dried fruit, etc.) and don't contain caffeine. Good luck!

Yes, I'm also crazy about it, hmm delicious, I used to drink a lot of it before pregnancy, but when I found out I was pregnant I immediately stopped drinking Red Bull. Now I'm already looking forward to having one again, but the question is when is it okay to drink it again because I plan to breastfeed.
Is it okay to drink a Red Bull while breastfeeding?
ANYONE WHO HAS AN ANSWER TO THIS?

My opinion is to not do it, but could it be harmful for the 1st child?

Yeah, Red Bull can indeed be addictive. I also think it's ridiculous that young children drink this. I really don't think that's good. And I certainly wouldn't allow it for my daughter. It's just junk. I find it very tasty and I like to drink it, but I limit myself to one per day. And sometimes I don't even have it.

I think it's really crap, yeah.. my 17-year-old brother drinks it sometimes and when he has 2 cans, he's all jittery, like he's used who-knows-what kind of drugs.. I know not everyone reacts like that to it, but still (: I know it's bad for people with heart palpitations and high blood pressure anyway!

I've never drunk it myself, I already think it smells gross! I wouldn't give it to my kids anytime soon either!
Because of the caffeine, it's probably addictive, I guess!

I know I really shouldn’t have it because I’m already quite nervous (and I have a mild digestive issue). So yeah, it probably won’t be great. Good luck with getting it removed! Fingers crossed!

I think it says on the can that you shouldn't drink it during pregnancy.. at least not the cranberry variant..

Red Bull is really bad for kids, let alone your baby growing inside you, so definitely quit it, preferably all caffeine-containing drinks too. Come on, it's only 9 months for your baby, after that you can drink as much as you want until you drop. It's just about how much you have left for your child.

I used to drink six of those a day. Since I found out I'm pregnant, I haven't even touched a drop of Red Bull anymore, though I do miss it... But the little one comes first.

Ladies, Red Bull is rubbish and it's also equivalent to 6 cups of coffee in 1 can.
That's what it says on the label, so it's clear that a baby should never consume that much caffeine. It's terrible and can give your baby's heart quite a shock.
It's lovely to see the ladies who have stopped drinking it during their pregnancy.
    Greetings, Madelene

I wouldn't do it. Red Bull is crap. I wouldn't drink it either! Good that you've stopped, keep it up. You can do it!

While breastfeeding, you can't drink it either. Everything you eat or drink ends up in your breast milk. So your baby gets it that way too. So you'll have to wait a while longer.

Everyone has their own opinion, right? After all, it's growing in your own belly. Some say yes, others say no. Just do it if you really feel like it, but drink in moderation.

According to the Nutrition Center, you're allowed 1 can of energy drink per day. I think Red Bull falls under that too?
