Pregnant after a miscarriage

Hi everyone!
I took a positive test over the weekend We had a miscarriage in February... So I'm really nervous about this, I really hope everything goes well. We already have two kids and would love a third. Does anyone know if the chance of another miscarriage after one miscarriage is higher?
Greetings!

So you see that my post has been viewed 1285 times and then no one responds? I thought there might be more people on this forum with similar questions, or am I wrong?

    Hi there,
I’ll respond to this. As far as I know, having had one miscarriage doesn’t increase the risk of having another. I haven’t personally experienced a miscarriage, but I did experience the loss of a baby after 21 weeks of pregnancy. With the condition our little girl had, there was no increased risk...
After two months, I was pregnant again, and now at 19 weeks, everything looks really good so far. You just have to trust your own feelings about whether things are okay or not.
    Wishing you a wonderful pregnancy.

    Warm regards, mamavan2

I also had a miscarriage, and I was told that after one miscarriage, the chance of having another isn't higher than for anyone else. It'll be really nerve-wracking for you both in the first few weeks, but it'll pass. Enjoy your pregnancy!

    Hi rj
Yeah, I'm trying to enjoy it too. I feel much better now than last time, it seems.
    Thanks for your reply!

    Hi Illie,

No, you indeed don't have a higher chance of having a miscarriage. It's the same chance as last time, so also an 85/90% chance that everything will be okay.

I had a miscarriage in November, and I'm pregnant again now. I can't say I'm really happy yet, I'm actually mostly scared :-) But also for myself: think positive...

    Good luck!

Hi! I also had a miscarriage in November and had a D&C in early December because things didn’t start on their own. I’m now over 7 weeks pregnant again and it’s still really nerve-wracking!

I know you don’t have a higher chance of having a second miscarriage. In fact, one miscarriage happens in about 10% of cases, but two in a row only happens in about 2%. Still, it’s very stressful, and I notice I’m not as carefree about being pregnant as I was during my first pregnancy, which resulted in a beautiful son 2.5 years ago. Fingers crossed that everything goes well this time too!
