I'm totally amazed that there are people who say they've been trying to get pregnant for so long, even though they've only been at it for a few months. Don't get me wrong! Because if you really want a baby, every month that it doesn't work feels so long. We ourselves took 3 years before I got pregnant. It was very frustrating to hear from others (not necessarily from this site, but also people in my own circle) that it takes so long, while they were only trying for a short time and ended up pregnant after 3 or 4 months.

And it's true that sometimes you think, oh, it's going to happen, and you even "turn off" your period. It's quite strange that your body can play tricks on you like that.

Fortunately, we gave birth to a beautiful and healthy daughter 14 months ago.

Same here, I've been trying for two years and keep having irregular cycles. One time 27 days, another time 35. This month I went by my average longest cycle of 35 days and I'm now two days late. I did take a test already but it was a very clear negative. So I'll just wait and see, even though it's annoying.

    Hi ladies,

We're on round 6 now. I don't really have any symptoms and I'm 4 days overdue... I tested 1 day after ovulation but nothing... I'm going to test again on Wednesday if I can wait that long.... I'm really curious!! I just hope I don't get too hopeful and end up disappointed...
@meppie, good luck I'm rooting for you!! Do you know anything more yet?
    @ kim, good luck!!!

Hey everyone, I'm Syl and I've been trying to get pregnant for 4 months now... I'm expecting my period in 2 days. Took a test today and unfortunately it was negative. Is there still a chance it could turn positive? Greetings

Yes, you're right about the test. A tip, to save money and reduce stress: wait until you're a few days overdue to test! Good luck!

Hi ladies, I'm already 5 days past my period. I've tested every morning, but it's always negative. I do have lower abdominal cramps. Does anyone have any idea what I should do? Could I be pregnant?

Hey ladies, I'm already more than 60 days overdue and have all the symptoms you can imagine... but my pregnancy tests keep coming back negative, or if there is a line, it's (horizontal?). There's also quite a bit of baby bump showing now. I keep hearing stories from women who have negative tests but are obviously pregnant. Have you had experiences with this? I have an ultrasound on Monday due to the uncertainty. I hope it's okay ????????

Joy, 5 days past is often still a bit too early. Wait until a week after your missed period and then test with the first morning urine, that's the strongest. If you're still unsure or the pain gets severe, call your GP. Pretty, at 60 days and with a growing belly, you should really drop by your GP or midwife. That's not normal and could be something else.
