Vaginal bleeding, girlfriend

Hi everyone,

I'm sending this message outside of my girlfriend's knowledge, because I don't want to worry her, so I'm asking for your advice.

A few weeks ago we had a successful ultrasound and we could see a good beating heart.
However, I got a big scare this morning because my girlfriend told me she had lost some blood (I should mention that we had sex last night).
It was bright red blood, but it was gone again after wiping.
I know she worries a lot without realizing it and she even dreams about it.
Now I really want to support her and reassure her, but I don't know how.
Can you please give me some advice?

    Hi,
Last week, when I was 8 weeks pregnant, I had some bright red bleeding for 2 days.
By chance, I had an ultrasound that day, and everything was fine.
In most cases, it means nothing, but just let your friend know that you've experienced this.

It’s very likely that it happened because you had intercourse. Sometimes a small blood vessel can burst. If you’re worried, don’t hesitate to call your midwife—they really don’t mind at all...

    Hi,

I had that too around 22 weeks. And even though it wasn't much, it does make you really worried. In the end, I did inform the midwife, and because it kept coming back, I was referred to the gynecologist. It turned out to be a small polyp for me, which has now been removed and the problem is resolved. The midwife and gynecologist actually assumed they wouldn't find anything and that it's quite "common." Since women have so much more blood and it's very well-blooded there, it can happen that a small vein gets irritated, causing some bleeding. If the problem persists, just check with the midwife. They're there for you, and walking around with an uncertain feeling is really not necessary.

    Good luck to you both!

We just informed the midwife. She could totally understand my concern, and I got a bit of a talking-to for sitting with uncertainty for so long. Oh well, it's my first time experiencing this kind of thing
Fortunately, she reassured us and told us that as long as the bleeding doesn't last, there's absolutely nothing to worry about! Gosh, I just hate that uncertainty!
Just think of it as a fun learning moment

That's so nice that you're both calm again. Yes, they'd rather you call once too often than not enough How far along is your friend now? Insecurity will keep you on edge until the little one is born, but you'll have lots of beautiful moments and enjoy them, especially when you can feel the little one too. Shouldn't it be stubborn and stay quiet when you put your hands on the belly? That's what we had with our first. Then it becomes a fun sport to get it to happen haha. Lots of fun with the further learning moments

My girlfriend is going to be 10 weeks along tomorrow So if everything goes according to plan, we'll have a Christmas baby. Haha, well then I hope my kid and your kid don't end up with the same hobbies, I don't feel involved yet .
But I have to say it's secretly super fun too! Men who act tough about the pregnancy are often as proud as a peacock, haha.
And the baby stores too; secretly I find that fun too. But I'd better not shout about it too loudly, otherwise I might end up going to baby stores every weekend, haha.
I understand that you're also pregnant, so super good luck with the pregnancy Thanks!
