Hi, I'm Yvonne and I'm 21 years old.
I'm now 23 weeks pregnant.
My boyfriend and I are the first in our friend group to get pregnant.
Everyone was overjoyed, but I feel like I'm not always understood..
And the little one isn't even here yet.. For example, why I can't go out clubbing or do other things..
Does anyone else here experience this?
Also, I find it a pity not to know any young moms in my area..

    Hey,

I'm 22, turning 23 in a little over a month. Our little guy is now 2 weeks old. I'm also the first in my friend group to become a mom.

It went okay at first, although sometimes they'd invite us to the weirdest things; when I was 7 months pregnant, they asked us to go out (yeah, sure I will, with my big belly ). When I was 8 months pregnant, someone actually had the idea to invite us paintballing. Yeah, great plan!
But aside from that, I have to say most of them understood when I canceled last minute or went less often.

It's indeed sometimes hard being the only mom in your friend group. I love talking about our little sprout, but you notice that this starts to bore many friends pretty quickly. It would be nice to know someone who talks about her baby just as much as I do!

    I signed up after all..
Mainly at the beginning, I minded that I went out partying with my girlfriends..
You're having a nice chat with a young one and then a friend comes rushing in saying she's pregnant...
Everyone runs away from me.. Not that I'm looking for a nice guy,, but getting a little attention is nice after all..
I also invited my girlfriends over to my place but around 11:30 or 12 I really wanted to go to bed.. They knew I was tired and dizzy and then I'd rather not drive
That wasn't late enough,, I HAD to come to them

Now that I'm further along, I'm understood more,, but once... Sigh.. Quite annoying

    Hi,

Yeah, I notice it myself too. I'm not pregnant yet, but I really want a baby. It's just annoying to talk about it with my friends—they think it's cute, but they're more focused on going out and scoring guys than on babies. Luckily, I have a few friends who already have kids, and it's much easier to talk to them.

    But sometimes it's pretty frustrating.
