cervical polyps

Hi,

I'm 22 weeks pregnant now and have had bleeding for 4 weeks that keeps coming back daily. After finally seeing the gynecologist and having it examined, it turns out to be a small polyp (on the cervix). Because it's really annoying to feel "spotting" all day long and always having to be careful with panty liners etc., they're going to remove it this Friday. My question now is: who here is familiar with this and how does it work? Are there any risks to the pregnancy?

I was happy that they're removing it, but now that I'm thinking about it, I'm starting to doubt it...

    Hi Demi,

I think you should just let it come to you!!
I don't have personal experience with this, but I want to give you a little encouragement.
I assume that if there were many risks, the doctors or gynecologists would have told you. Just assume that everything will be fine. I can understand that you're uneasy... lots of strength with it and good luck!!

    Best, Chantal

    Hey Chantal.

Thanks for your reassuring reply. It's all behind us now. The polyp was removed without any issues. This just shows that you really shouldn't "rummage around" too much on the internet. By doing so, you get unnecessarily worried.

    Cheers, Demi

How was the polyp removed, and does it have any impact on the pregnancy? I also had a polyp detected that they want to remove. I'm currently 24 weeks pregnant.

Hi! They also found a polyp in me, but they don't want to remove it because it could bring a lot of risks. I'm now 13 weeks pregnant.

Hi, I also have a question. They found a polyp on my cervix and said it has a lot of risks for the baby. I might have a miscarriage if it's removed. I'd like to know which hospital or clinic removed it. Thank you!
