Yes, I got pregnant with the IUD still in place....

Had an ultrasound this morning, it was really beautiful. Didn’t hear the heartbeat but could see it beating, and it’s so lovely!!! So proud of my little cupcake....

Now, that contraception isn't really reliable, is it.. I also got pregnant when I took my pill.. never noticed anything until I was 3 months pregnant.. Then I suddenly stopped getting my period and it was forever, so I was super worried at the first ultrasound, which was already at almost 11 weeks..

I do find Cupcake sounds so sweet and lovely... It's my first baby and I've never really had issues with the copper IUD before.

Tonight is the intake at the clinic, so it's nerve-wracking again...

Yeah seeing that little heart beating is so special and so small he..go at it like a fast train..just wait until you hear it for the first time, it feels like you're standing at a station but oh such a blissful feeling!

I have my first ultrasound tomorrow at a private clinic because I just can't wait any longer. I'm really curious if they can see anything at all at 6.5 weeks. Next Wednesday I'm going to the midwife for the first time. I'm super nervous too, and for self-preservation I'm trying not to hope... but deep down inside I want it so, so, so badly.
