Oh no, 5th illness at work.

This morning at work, a parent told me their son had fifth disease last Monday. It got me a bit stressed, so I immediately started Googling. It turns out it can be harmful to the baby if the mother hasn’t had it herself. Unfortunately, I don’t know if I’ve had it, and I’m only 8 weeks pregnant! I called my doctor, who told me to get a blood test right away, and I’m not allowed to work on-site until I have the results. Unfortunately, I also had to tell my colleagues that I’m pregnant because I had to leave suddenly. I’m really upset about this and hope I’ve had it already. I’m really worried about it. Now I’m just waiting for the test results, sigh! It’s no longer a secret now.
