7 weeks pregnant and tired

Hi,
I'm 7 weeks pregnant tomorrow! I'm really happy about it. I work full-time, and I really notice how tired I am when I get home. I still cook, and then I'm completely done. Is this normal? The rest of the evening I just zone out in front of the TV, which isn't usual for me.
Greetings, Trui

I was so tired during the first 14 weeks too! I literally fell asleep everywhere. While commuting to work, commuting home, at home on the couch, after eating, and before going to bed. I've never slept so much as during those first 14 weeks. Just give in, and in the second trimester you'll practically have no more trouble with it

Yeah, that's totally normal! I was also really tired during all my pregnancies and could sleep all day long! It gets better...

That first trimester really flew by for me. I was so nauseous and exhausted. All I did was lie on the couch, eat to combat the nausea, and sleep. Yeah, just give in as much as you can if you can. I was lucky to be at home.

Hi Trui, this is so relatable for me too. I'm almost 6 weeks pregnant now and sometimes I'm really dozing off at my desk at work. I'm also working full-time and I keep wondering if I'll be able to keep this up. I just want to sleep so badly...

I'm 7 weeks pregnant now and I'm really tired too.
I always lie down on the couch in the afternoon.

    Just give in.

I had fatigue too, but not until week 18/20, and then it got better. At week 27, the heartburn started. Now I'm 31 weeks and it's coming back...
But it's also because of sleepless nights, tossing and turning, and trips to the toilet.
But I still want to do so much around the house, hehe (nesting instinct)
The baby's room is almost ready. Once it's done, it'll be so sweet. Only 9 weeks left, hoping for an earlier delivery.

Take your rest, give in to it.
Enjoy your pregnancy, ladies! Toi toi toi!

All in all, it's been a good pregnancy so far. I'd do it all over again...
But first, let's wait for the delivery, hehe.

I'm 5 weeks pregnant now, and I had an extra day off today. The only thing I did was do one load of laundry and sleep, sleep, sleep, and more sleep haha. So yeah, I totally relate, but I also think that if you can take it easy, you should just let yourself enjoy it. Once the little one is here, we'll be busy enough.

Yeah sure.. it's all part of the deal, I had it too until about 14/15 weeks and now I'm 23 weeks pregnant and feel great, and of course also because of that lovely fluttering from our little boy. It's our 2nd miracle, our 1st boy is already 6....

Have you already told your work? I read in a pregnancy book that you're entitled to an extra hour of break if you need it during your pregnancy.

I was also super tired during the first 12 weeks. And I was working full-time too. I left work right at five o'clock, drove home half-asleep, had dinner, and then tried to stay awake on the couch until nine o'clock before going to bed. After 12 weeks, this was luckily gone! Now, at 23 weeks, it's going great at work.

Up to 12/13 weeks, I was just as tired. It felt like you'd been running all day, had no stamina, and couldn't catch your breath. So tired, so tired, deeply tired.
If it really becomes too much, take a week off sick to recharge. Hang in there for a few more weeks until you reach 10 weeks. Then after the ultrasound, share the good news at work and then work part-time sick and part-time, in consultation with the occupational health doctor???
I was "lucky" that I was partially on unemployment benefits and didn't have to do anything in the mornings.

    Hi hi

I'm 6 and a half weeks along and was almost falling asleep on my PC this afternoon
    Everything is completely normal
    Phew!

I'm lucky that I work part-time... only in the mornings until half past 11, and then I can head home!!
Two more weeks of work and then three weeks of vacation, and after that four more weeks of work and then time off, so I can start counting down now...

It's all part of it, unfortunately. Give in to it and let yourself be pampered...
Here at 25 weeks, still completely exhausted. Working at a very low pace (I'm only present half-days for adapted work) and otherwise resting/sleeping a lot.

Yeah, I'm dealing with that too. This morning I couldn't even wake up, even though I'd slept for ages. My boyfriend even asked, "Are you still tired?" So it's really relatable for me. I usually sleep for half an hour to three-quarters of an hour at work too. Luckily, that's allowed.

    Love, Angel

Here almost 31 weeks pregnant and no discomfort anywhere except for frequent trips to the toilet

So relatable! I'm also 7 weeks pregnant and working full-time. The worst part is that it's not yet known at work that I'm pregnant. I also sometimes forget things, even though I'm usually very meticulous, and my colleagues are already starting to ask questions... Right now, I'm kind of living in a haze because of the fatigue.

But when I'm at home, I enjoy my pregnancy, happily googling baby stuff it makes me forget about my tiredness (is forgetting maybe good for something after all?) hahaha...

Quick question: do you also have muscle issues, like lower back or neck/shoulder pain?
  18. fay Guest #19

Go ahead and give in to your tiredness, ladies. Once the baby is here, it won't be so easy anymore. Best wishes, Fay

I started my 7th week the day before yesterday, and even though I usually have lots of energy, I'm completely wiped out now. Even eating is exhausting. I get really nauseous sometimes, but luckily I don't throw up. I'm super happy to be pregnant, but the symptoms... I curse them
