7 weeks pregnant and my cat has toxoplasmosis!

Hi there,
I'm now 7 weeks pregnant and recently we took our cat to the vet for a check-up. We decided to have her tested for toxoplasmosis. Today the vet called and it turns out our cat currently has toxoplasmosis! I've been very careful since finding out I'm pregnant, always washing my hands right after petting or cuddling her, and I haven't changed the litter box in a long time (though it's near her food and sometimes I still feed her).
At 5 weeks I had a blood test and my toxo result was negative.
First ultrasound tomorrow, but now I'm a bit worried!
Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi, I think most cats pretty much have the toxoplasma bacteria. That's not really something to worry too much about.
You should just make sure to wash your hands well, stay away from the litter box, etc., etc.

I have multiple cats and also get litters from time to time, so I expected to test positive for toxoplasmosis, but no! Apparently, you don't get it just like that. From now on, just have your partner change the litter box (or wear gloves).
