Amniocentesis results for gender

Hi hi,

Does anyone happen to have had an amniocentesis and received the first result in writing or via the digital file? I got the result by phone and it was good. I also see the result in my digital file and it says the following:

Chromosomes Chromosomes
Amniotic fluid material
QF_PCR
Karyotype normal
Sex female
Remarks Through QF-PCR (Quantitative-Fluorescence Polymerase Chain Reaction) research was conducted into aneuploidies of the chromosomes, X and
The signal pattern for chromosomes 13, 18, 21, X and Y is not abnormal. The markers for the sex chromosomes are consistent with a female QF-PCR pattern

Does this refer to the baby? I actually didn't want to know the sex, but now that I've seen it, I can't let it go.

Anyone with experience?

Greetings

Hi Sanne, I also had an amniocentesis done and got the results first by phone, and then I got a report in my mailbox.
Everything is fine with me too, and reading your message, I’m afraid it won’t be a surprise at birth for you anymore. Although it says “conclusion: female genotype” in my report, so I know it’s a girl, I had already asked about it over the phone.
Everything in your letter is about the baby, not about the mother herself. It’s a shame they didn’t tell you that the gender is in the letter.

Yeah, my girlfriend had that too. They didn’t want to know the gender (yet) and got the results sent by email. The report said 3 times that it was female. So silly when you’re already in such a tense situation with the test.

Clumsy saying :-( but congratulations, it's nice that everything is okay, that's the most important thing. I'm going to get a shot tomorrow!
