Extreme nausea

Hi,

I'm new to this forum, so I'm not sure where to start. I'm almost 10 weeks pregnant, but for the past three weeks I've been dealing with extreme nausea almost non-stop. I feel sick all the time, both during the day and at night, and because of this, I haven't been sleeping well either. It became unbearable, and I couldn't keep any food down, so I was hospitalized for a few days. I've been home for over a week now, but the nausea is increasingly accompanied by vomiting.
This is my first pregnancy, and I'm lucky to have had a positive test after 8 months of trying, but right now I feel so sick and exhausted that it's hard to enjoy the pregnancy.
That's why I wanted to reach out to hear about your experiences and see if there are any tips that could help during this tough time.

Best regards,
Brien

Ask the doctor about Navalit. A real life saver
I was still very nauseous with the maximum dose, but at least I didn't throw up with these pills
Here it started to get a bit better after 12 weeks, so hang in there a little longer. I know how miserable it can be..

Thank you, Ano, for your message. I am indeed already taking Navalit, in combination with Primperan syrup, but unfortunately, it doesn't help with the vomiting at the moment... and you're right, it feels incredibly miserable in this phase .

Fresh ginger tea helps a lot with nausea. Still dealing with it now though..

Here’s my experience (but probably not what you were hoping for). I also tried all sorts of medication (including Primperan, just like you) and every tip you could find online, but I still had to get through my 9 months of nausea.
Ok, after 15 weeks it got a bit better, if that can be any comfort. But I did have to vomit throughout the whole pregnancy (had to run to the toilet several times during work hours etc.).
At the end of the pregnancy, I weighed the same as at the start (but in my case that was definitely no problem since I had enough reserves, unfortunately).
But you often read that the nausea continues after birth because those hormones don’t just disappear, but that wasn’t the case for me. The day after giving birth, I ate all sorts of things and how good it tasted after 9 sick months !!!
Unfortunately, I can’t give you any tips, but know that there are people in similar situations and keep hoping it gets better after 3 months!
    Good luck with your pregnancy.

I tried Navalit, but after one box I stopped and came back. I wanted to start again, but I was afraid to start a new box because the doctor said it's best not to take it, but if you can't do otherwise, then it's okay. So after that, I didn't want to start a new box. So I just gritted my teeth. For me, the nausea and vomiting lasted from 6 weeks to 11 weeks. Now I'm 14 weeks pregnant and still occasionally have trouble with vomiting. It will go away on its own, but it's tough to just push through. I tried pure ginger root myself, but I kept vomiting after it, so I stopped.

    @brien that's so tough.
I've been nauseous all day too, but luckily I only vomited sometimes in the morning...
I hope you're not dealing with HG?
Then I'm afraid it might last the whole pregnancy... This is of course different for everyone, but that sounds absolutely awful!!

I'm only 9.5 weeks pregnant, so I still have a few weeks to get through... I hope it stops soon for you! I used ginger pills, but they gave me bad stomach pain here... Maybe they'll help you? Unfortunately, no other tips...
