Sick leave

HelloGuest ·
Hi! I've been looking into all sorts of things, so here's my question: Did your pay drop a lot during your maternity leave? I don't earn the maximum daily rate, but I was curious if it really makes a huge difference compared to my normal salary... I do work in healthcare with supplementary insurance, etc. Any experiences?

Don't you just keep getting paid the same salary?

It all depends on where you work. That's what HR is for. Ask them about it
I get 100% paid during my maternity leave.

    Hi,

Do you live in the Netherlands or Belgium? I get fully paid in education in the Netherlands.

I live in the Netherlands! Ah, so you just get the same pay as always! Good to know.
Yeah, I can always ask about that, I was just curious about the experiences.. because they take an average of your sv pay.. and what comes out of that is 100% of your daily wage.
    Thanks ladies

If you work a fixed number of hours, you’ll also get those hours paid during your leave

You get 100% in NL. It's just that if you have a pretty high salary, your employer has to top it up. That's my case. UWV pays out the maximum daily wage, but I earn more than that. So my employer has to cover the difference up to 100%.
Ort is extra? Think only of your basic wage that's being paid out..

As a fully tenured teacher (secondary education) in Belgium; salary continues to be paid as usual.

I got about 70% of my salary at the beginning, I think, and a few weeks before the due date it's 85%.
