1st trimester
High hcg
Hi everyone,
I’m 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant today (ovulation was on Feb 3). I had blood taken at 4 weeks and 6 days, and my hCG level was 7487, which is quite high.
Since I had been experiencing fainting spells and abdominal cramps, I went to see the gynecologist at 5 weeks and 3 days. She confirmed that I appear to be about 5 weeks and a few days pregnant. A gestational sac and yolk sac were visible, and everything looked good. No heartbeat yet.
I’m still really worried about those high hCG levels, and in the stress of the whole situation, I forgot to ask all my questions to the gynecologist. I’ll give her a call next week, but in the meantime, I’m quite anxious. Twins run in the family, so that could explain it too. But I’ve also been reading about molar pregnancies, which scares me a lot.
My next ultrasound is on March 16. I’m counting down the days! Those first weeks are mostly about waiting anxiously, and I’m finding it hard so far to enjoy it.
