9 weeks pregnant after ICSI, my appetite has disappeared!

After 6 IUIs, 1 IVF, and an ICSI, we’re finally pregnant! I’m 35 now and expecting around July 1, 2013.
I’m so glad I don’t have morning sickness or need to vomit, but this is also pretty unpleasant: my appetite is gone. Mornings are actually fine, but by late afternoon it’s completely gone—I just don’t feel like eating, and then I still have to cook, which is already a chore, and then eat it too! I find nothing tasty when it comes to warm food. Nothing tastes good!
I take all my vitamin supplements, but nowadays I don’t even finish my plate..

Who relates to this??

Hi Mandy, first of all, a huge congratulations on your pregnancy!! After so many treatments, you finally have your dream!! Enjoy it, girl!!

I also didn't feel like eating at first, starting around 12-13 weeks. Normally I can eat really well, and then suddenly almost nothing... Cooking was really hard back then because I had no appetite either But that passes Your appetite comes back, and now I can eat what I used to eat again.

And your little one will take up the nutrients it needs to grow properly, so no need to worry about that! Just make sure you keep eating, even if it's in small bites, and stay well hydrated...

Wishing you lots of success and enjoyment during your pregnancy!!!

    Love,

    Wow, congratulations!

I’m not feeling too nauseous yet, but my appetite has disappeared. I eat small portions throughout the day and try to have as many vegetables as possible and drink enough.

    Hey Mandy!

Wow, that's so great for you guys that after all the effort you're finally pregnant!! Congratulations, girl, and enjoy it!
I'm 12 weeks now and it's only just starting for me! I also find it a chore to cook and I don't taste the hot food! I don't even know what I should cook! It'll probably be a phase...! And your little one will take what it needs to grow well!

Enjoy and good luck with your pregnancy.

    Love, Lynn

I just have a big breakfast in the morning with fiber, calcium, and fruit... then I've already got a kind of base. Tonight I'm going to make a sauerkraut dish, but everything I used to like doesn't taste right anymore, and it feels like my body is just protesting at that moment!
So I wake up in the morning with an enormous feeling of hunger....

I also get full very quickly, that's something too... Weird what hormones can do to you.

As for ICSI: that was simply the solution for us. Only too bad that you first have to go through the whole process to find that out...
